'Congress without Gandhi family and Sonia Gandhi without power ?'

Your poser (WIC May 17) under the tagline 'Politics', contains the answer within. As per common perception, while, Manmohan Singh is the de jure head of GoI, Sonia Gandhi continues to be its de facto CEO occupying the only power centre in the present dispensation. As undisputed leader of the Indian National Congress, she deftly controls all Ministers as also the permanent Executive of the Union of India, but, without an iota of accountability. The Congressmen shudder to stand before her. Is this not due to her charismatic (Read as authoritarian ) personality? Against this background, why should she need the tag of Nehru-Gandhi dynasty? Unfortunately, she listens to her 'Chaatukars' and treats her detractors as enemies.

Promotional avenues dumped

UDCs in the Central Secretariat are facing hard to continue in service as their promotional avenues have been almost dumped due to vested interest of some officers posted in DOP&T. Due to their ill intention a large section of UDCs are facing mental agony and frustration. If the authority concerned takes note in the matter will go long to settle the issue pending in the DOP&T. please pass on this request to appropriate place.

Who is interested in BPR&D ? Is MHA interested at all ? IPS officers cannot please political bosses from BPR&D to get post retirement posts. ITBP N CRP like forces suite them. Here they have big ticket dealings to make cuts.

Reservation is not reformatory

It has become obvious with 60 years of reservation that it is not reformatory but retributive and vindictive. If caste system has weakened, it is due to globalization and scientific thinking.

Rise of IUML making seculars also communal

Everyone knows IUML is a direct descendent of the hated Muslim League of pre partition days. Nehru as shortsighted as he is, certified the ML as secular and allowed them continue in Kerala. Next, LDF gave them legitimacy by partnering with them and gave them a Muslim dominated district where even the traditional lighting of lamps are banned in public functions. Then Congress made them UDF partners though at first they was reluctant to give them even Speaker's post. Now Congress led UPA has given all important portfolios like PWD, education, health, local administration, industry etc to them and they have stuffed the department with mostly their own co-religious bureaucrats. All major posts in Police including vigilance are of their choice. Unknown professors from Aligarh were brought in as Vice-Chancellors. UPA also gave them a cabinet post in the centre. The UPA and LDF vied with each other to start a branch of Aligarh University in Muslim dominated Malappuram district. When there are excellent universities in South India itself, what was the compulsion to bring a branch of Aligarh University ? IUML leaders are going around telling party gatherings that Kerala is ruled by 'US', a sinister reminder of the partition theory that Muslims cannot live under non-Muslims. Now IUML is stretching their tentacles all over the country threatening the country with another partition. The rise of IUML and the disproportionate benefits the community is garnering is making other secular communities also become communal.

Abolition of Caste

Is it really possible to abolish the caste system which has been perpetuated long ago. Who has created this system and what for? Pondering over this, can we change the conditioned mind first? Mind goes on playing games and in this on-going gaming, it is difficult to change the existing system. Yes, I am referring to the mind of entire humanity and not of your or my mind. To change this mind set, going in for spiritual roots is necessary. First, I should change, then my family, then my neighborhood and so on. In this process, let us create a morphogenic field not only to abolish the caste system but also to do away with the ills of the society at large. Know they self.....to such a change to happen.
