Need for change

MPs should think of serving the country first. There should be a basic minimum qualification for MPs to stand for election to the parliament. It goes without saying that having served the country they should make way for the younger generation to lead the county and not hold to their seats till death. A age of 65 years should be the limit and considered a retirement age. Change is the only constant and it should be accepted by these representatives of people. Retirement & Qualification is a must for becoming an MP. You cannot lead the country with obsolete thoughts & ideas that can make a dinosaur proud. A country needs leaders and not managers hoarding money away in Swiss banks. A transparent system is the need of the hour to save this nation. We need a two party system and enough of these " frog in the well" regional parties who cannot think at a macro-level. Babugiri has to go and performance oriented officer's need to come in to save the nation. Even the British did not loot the country as much as the netas & babus have done in collusion. Psychophancy is everywhere & these babus have stopped commanding the respect which was synonymous with IAS/IPS/IFS etc. We need more Khemka's., Durga Nagpal's who can stand up against these Netas. Reservation for the poor and downtrodden should be mandatory even if he is an upper caste. Casteist politics & Religion politics should be banned once for ever. More thoughts in this regard would be welcome in the interest of the Nation.

Wrong Policies and poor Governance

After 66 years of independence, we are having basic problems of food, primary health and education, good sanitation, drinking water, power supply, shelter to live in etc. This is all due to very wrong policies and poor governance. It does not require any proof. Even a single thing, India does not have the required ELECTRICITY which is essential for many things for the growth of the country. Every Minister is praising himself and questions other authorities if any thing is not according to his desire. How a country can progress when there is no enabling manufacturing and export policies? Both are showing decline. FM has questioned in Washington thru a committee when IMF has given GDP growth as 3.8%. Till now only Indian organizations like CAG, RBI being questioned, now it is term of foreign organizations IMF, World Bank. manufacturing units like ITI, state government undertakings all are either being closed or running in loss. Service sector is not meant for government. See what happened to Air India and other sectors. Compare the balance sheet of 2004-05 to 2012-13.The facts will be known. It does not require any other agency to do it. This can be done by respective administrative ministry. We have made India as
country of reservations and subsidies. Unless these are removed, it will be difficult to progress. Can some one help to make country free from reservations and subsidies for sustained growth. The fruits of growth can be enjoyed by every one.

CGHS - a pain in the neck of seniors

CGHS is really a pain in the neck of seniors. I felt ashamed when I saw a 90-year old lady lying for two hours on the concrete bench outside the room of the doctor waiting for her turn. It was the case of Room No. 9 of MB Road Dispensary, New Delhi-110017. It is counted a lucky day when out of five doctors, there are three doctors in attendance. Will the Hon'ble Minister/Secretary of Health look into this chaos in a public health service sector ?

Nirwal

CGHS - Corrupt Government Health Services.

CGHS can be aptly described as Corrupt Government Health Services. Why the recommendation of the last pay commission to hand over Medical Treatment of serving/retired government servants to private operators has not been implemented even after so many years of Report of the Pay Commission. The doctors in CGHS have to be given morality lessons how to deal with patients particularly senior citizens. Why should the CMO not attend to patients and why should doctors flock together at 930 to take tea and snacks and don't bother for the patients waiting in long eternal queues outside their rooms. Medical ethics should take precedence over self comfort and egoist attitude towards patients. Nobody wants to stand in long quees and be at the mercy of ruthless doctors and para medical staff.

DATE WITH RTI

The words of the RTI application should not be interpreted narrowly

Information pertaining to stagnation increment as sanctioned to the appellant on the basis of performance and recommendations of Divisional Manager/Branch Manager of the Oriental Insurance Company Ltd was sought by the appellant. The CIC directed the Public Information Officer (PIO) to provide a copy of the one page format in which the performance of the appellant was recorded and recommendations of the Divisional Manager/ Branch Manager was given before sanctioning/ not recommending the stagnation increment of the appellant. The CIC also placed on record the reluctance of the PIO to provide specific and correct information to the Commission during the hearing pertaining to the records held by them regarding the
stagnation increment of the appellant. It was after constant coaxing and prodding by the Commission that the PIO finally relented to provide the full and complete information. Holding that this approach has caused delay in disclosure of information to the appellant thereby resulting in mental anguish and harassment to him, the CIC granted a compensation of Rs 3000/- to the appellant for the detriment caused to him.

Comments
