Survey--Who after Modi in 2024 ?

Who will be the BJP stalwart, or in other words, who will replace Narendra Modi after 2024 ? This question has already started haunting the politicians who believe that there is no danger to Modi till that time. Modi himself has commented, in a lighter vein, while addressing the children of the nation a couple of weeks ago.

During a chat with students on Teachers' Day, when a boy from Imphal sought advice on how to become PM, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, "Prepare for 2024 elections and invite me to your swearing in. That will ensure that till then I do not have any threat”.

Whispers team also pondered over the fact and regardless of the fact that Modi’d replacement would be a common choice of the BJP and the RSS, few names that came to it are given below. We would also like or surfers to express their opinion on the same.

Ms Arundhati Bhattacharya, Chairperson, State Bank of India has expressed her views on the RBI monetary policy that "the RBI assertion of a possible change in monetary policy stance next year is a clear vindication and acknowledgement of a benign inflation regime. In fact, by advancing the inflation target of 6% to March 2015, RBI has now set out a clear message of the reversal of the rate cycle, sooner than later. Finance Minister: Discriminatory and arbitrary step

As reported in media, FM is planning different rates of LPG cylinder for rich(?) and poor. Rich will pay market price as they can pay and do not need subsidy. Charity begins from home. Parliament is a temple of democracy. Now let us see how much subsidies are being provided in Parliament where users can pay the actual cost.
1. Highly subsidized food items are being provided to MPs, Ministers political dignitaries where as all can pay market price it means no subsidy is needed.
2. MPs, Ministers, Political parties are occupying sprawling bungalows in LBZ and NDMC areas at nominal Licenece Fee where as all can pay market rate as they can pay and do not need and reduced rates.
3. Free electricity, water and telephone to MPs and Ministers. All should pay market charges as per usage as they can pay and do not need free electricity, water and telephone.
4. MPs and Ministers have been provided free lap top. They should return to respective secretariat and buy from market as they can buy and do not need free. These lap tops can be given to poor needy students in rural areas.
There are many areas where subsidies are being given.FM should think before proposing such solution for LPG dividing rich and poor. Take uniform policy reduce subsidy for all, reduce no. of cylinders per family etc. depending on Govt. analysis. Whatever decision is taken it should be uniform and logical. No doubt subsidy is main concern for government but see from all perspective and areas where it can be given where it can be withdrawn uniformly without exception. Good Luck: FM

Haryana govt follows the policy of adhoc-ism

Haryana govt follows the policy of adhoc-ism at the top level of bureaucracy. The earlier CS was for a few months and the newly appointed CS has only a month of service with him. Nothing changes whether it is congress or BJP. They favour the favourites who have rendered good services in the past or promise to be help in future. But this damages the image of the services. It is high time that such appointments should be taken away from the politicians.

Introduce concept of flexi timing

While implementing the BIOMetric system in all offices, the government needs to introduce the concept of flexi timing for all especially for women. The government does not provide housing to all. Many staff stays in NCR and far-flung areas from where transport is not always available. In the city often there are heavy traffic jams, So it is not always easy to reach office dot on time despite their best intentions, Sometimes old parents or young children or self needs the attention of a doctor due to some medical emergency one may not reach office dot at 9/ 9.30 am, but with flexi time the employee should be allowed to work upto one hour beyond office hour to make up for late attendance in the morning. This is how the biometric systems work in the west.

DATE WITH RTI

Personal information of a government employee

The appellant asked for the service details of a teacher regarding her date of joining the service, her present residential address and her salary certificates, etc. During hearing before the CIC, the teacher submitted that the information seeker is her husband who is harassing her. She raised objection to the disclosure of information to the appellant, saying that it is her personal information. The CIC held that information about salary and official address of public servant is public in nature and shall be disclosed to any person including spouse. Salary details including deductions contained in Salary slip or certificate and residential address of the public servants is personal information, and also third party information. Only after proof of larger public interest such information also can be given. Filing of 50 RTI applications reflects the personal animosity but not public interest.

Comments

Cases where spouses are seeking information about each other are now increasingly coming to notice. They may be involved in marital disputes and cases both civil and criminal, may be filed mutually against each other. They can also seek information to help them to prove or disprove the charges. However, it must be born in mind that information unconnected with the discharge of public duties should not be provided unless the disclosure establishes a larger public interest.
