RSS gives free hand to Narendra Modi !

The RSS is believed to have given free hand to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Survey--Who after Modi in 2024 ?

Who will be the BJP stalwart, or in other words, who will replace Narendra Modi after 2024 ? This question has already started haunting the politicians who believe that there is no danger to Modi till that time. Modi himself has commented, in a lighter vein, while addressing the children of the nation a couple of weeks ago.

During a chat with students on Teachers' Day, when a boy from Imphal sought advice on how to become PM, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, "Prepare for 2024 elections and invite me to your swearing in. That will ensure that till then I do not have any threat”.

Whispers team also pondered over the fact and regardless of the fact that Modi’d replacement would be a common choice of the BJP and the RSS, few names that came to it are given below. We would also like or surfers to express their opinion on the same.

Air Chief calls Koraput to be nurtured as Aero Engine Capital of India
Air Chief of Marshal Arup Raha, Chief of Air Staff, emphasised the need to ensure that Koraput emerges as aero engine capital of India. Speaking at the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of HAL Koraput Division at Sunabeda (Odisha), the Air Chief pointed out that the Division has the potential which is evident from the work done in the past 50 years especially in carrying out manufacturing, repairing and overhauling of MiG and Su-30 engines. He declared open a two-day national seminar on "Emerging trends in aero-engine architecture and self-reliance". The Air Chief also inaugurated the indigenization and out-sourcing exhibition organized on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, G C Pati, Chief Secretary to the Government of Odisha described the Golden Jubilee of HAL Koraput as the momentous occasion for the state. He also appreciated the contribution made by HAL in the development of the region, especially on the CSR front. He said HAL should lay more emphasis on outsourcing since such a step would lead to creation of jobs and businesses at different levels in the state. Dr R K Tyagi, Chairman HAL while thanking IAF and the state government for their continued support, called upon the large gathering of HAL employees to achieve more in next 10 years than what they accomplished in the last 50 years. "Koraput is already aero engine capital of India. In general HAL is on the right path with its all-round progress especially in the last two years. We have come a long way from being manufacturing company to a technology driven company", he said. Dr K Tamilamani, Director General, (Aeronautics), DRDO in his speech insisted that efforts must be made to have indigenous engine as dependence on others costs the country heavily. "Since we have the potential and infrastructure as companies like HAL are around, we must make all the efforts with proper time line", he said. S Subrahmanyan, Managing Director of HAL MiG (Complex) in his welcome address outlined the growth and contribution of the Division. Maloy De, General Manager (Koraput Division) proposed a vote of thanks. A coffee table book on 50 years of Koraput Division was released on the occasion. DATE WITH RTI

Personal information of a government employee

The appellant asked for the service details of a teacher regarding her date of joining the service, her present residential address and her salary certificates, etc. During hearing before the CIC, the teacher submitted that the information seeker is her husband who is harassing her. She raised objection to the disclosure of information to the appellant, saying that it is her personal information. The CIC held that information about salary and official address of public servant is public in nature and shall be disclosed to any person including spouse. Salary details including deductions contained in Salary slip or certificate and residential address of the public servants is personal information, and also third party information. Only after proof of larger public interest such information also can be given. Filing of 50 RTI applications reflects the personal animosity but not public interest.

Comments

Cases where spouses are seeking information about each other are now increasingly coming to notice. They may be involved in marital disputes and cases both civil and criminal, may be filed mutually against each other. They can also seek information to help them to prove or disprove the charges. However, it must be born in mind that information unconnected with the discharge of public duties should not be provided unless the disclosure establishes a larger public interest.
