BJP-led Govt should take advantage of Media support
Before reaching Lok Sabha, present PM was a very conscious person and
used to speak after giving deep thoughts to the contents of his speech.
We know when the word is out from the mouth, it goes in circulation
in common man's mouth. At present, BJP Government is lucky that All
Media, electronic & paper is totally with them. The Govt. should
take advantage of this for betterment of the people and the Nation,
otherwise time does not wait for anyone as we have seen the episode
of Arvind Kejriwal very well. Now, Anna is out of the scene. I noticed
that when PM spoke in Baroda Public Meeting, was seen saying "opposition
did not know Modi is a Wizard of Politics or Magician in election campaigning".
That time he had forgotten that it is totally a "Self - praise",
which does not suit to his status. I saw his speech in TV when he was
in Australia saying "Now I am busy in making Toilets in my Country".
It certainly gives a bad impression to the people of India and it shows
"India do not have toilets". This is totally a political view
which should remain a point for discussion and action within the Country
to explore the possibilities of making toilets for the people located
for away from New Delhi where toilets do not exist. Planning Commission
and Ministry of Finance, Government of India sends money for this type
of projects through State Governments, but how the ear-marked money
is utilized by the State Authorities, its monitoring is more important
for the Central Government Authorities. This matter should remain for
discussion and implementation within the Country and not to be publicized
abroad. In Australia, PM said it took 28 Years for a Prime Minister
of India to visit to Australia. This he can mention in political speeches
in our Country but it does not look nice to speak in foreign land. Not
paying any visit to Australia or else- where by his predecessors (former
PMs), do not reflect at their personal wisdom or willful intention to
do so, as we know the compulsions and foreign policies of our Country
at that period of time. PM's surprise visits/ checks of various key
places such as hospitals, Schools, Railway Stations, Bus Terminals,
Airports, Government public dealing Offices, on-going key projects of
Government etc etc., will certainly give good signals for improvement
which general public will widely appreciate rather than pin pointing
irrelevant issues. Recent cabinet decision for ban on recruitments of
Central Government Staff, this has also given a bad signal, as all educated
unemployed youths were eagerly hoping that good opportunities will come-up
after taking-over of a New Prime Minister of India.
Further, everybody knows, how many staff of Central Government is redeployed
in the name of so-called consultants after retirement for without justification
and some of the Government Deptts. have outsourced their staff from
private companies. The Austerity Measures in Government Departments,
which is indeed appreciated by everybody and needs actions, but, at
the same time, we saw, Oath Taking ceremony at Mumbai's Wankheda Stadium
where huge Government Money was poured in waste. Similarly, at Panchkula,
heavy expenses were incurred in Govt. treasury of Haryana Government.
Hope in future you will prefer to have oath taking ceremony in Raj Bhavan's
only, thus, save nation's money which can be spend for a good cause.
Do not expect much more from the majority MP's as after reaching Lok
Sabha/ Rajya Sabha, they immediately change their priorities to have
a lavish life in Delhi. It hardly matters for them, the Party, they
belong to. We have come to know that Government have provided Z-Plus
security to Baba Ram Dev which again is not in public taste. It is only
a Policy of appeasement. No doubt, present PM is a honest and hard working
person but, he needs to keep himself away from psycho-pasncy and needs
need people/ advisers near to him like BIRBAL in AKBAR's DARBAR and
should have patience of listening critics.

Personal information of a government employee
The appellant asked for the service details of a teacher regarding
her date of joining the service, her present residential address
and her salary certificates, etc. During hearing before the CIC,
the teacher submitted that the information seeker is her husband
who is harassing her. She raised objection to the disclosure of
information to the appellant, saying that it is her personal information.
The CIC held that information about salary and official address
of public servant is public in nature and shall be disclosed to
any person including spouse. Salary details including deductions
contained in Salary slip or certificate and residential address
of the public servants is personal information, and also third
party information. Only after proof of larger public interest
such information also can be given. Filing of 50 RTI applications
reflects the personal animosity but not public interest.
Comments
Cases where spouses are seeking information about each other are
now increasingly coming to notice. They may be involved in marital
disputes and cases both civil and criminal, may be filed mutually
against each other. They can also seek information to help them
to prove or disprove the charges. However, it must be born in
mind that information unconnected with the discharge of public
duties should not be provided unless the disclosure establishes
a larger public interest.
