Kalraj Mishra launches NSICs B2C Web Portal
for MSMEs
Inaugurating the NSIC online e-commerce shopping portal, www.msmeshopping.com,
Kalraj Mishra, Minister, MSME appreciated the efforts of NSIC in launching
their B2C portal, which is one of its kinds as MSMEs shall be able to
sell Retail products as well as Industrial equipment/machineries online.
Mishra added that marketing has always been a very expensive affair
and MSMEs find very difficult to source big budgets on Advertisements,
Brand building and in maintaining sales distribution channels along
with handling other marketing intricacies. This results in larger dependence
on middle men who eat away their profit margin and the NSIC Online selling
portal ( www.msmeshopping.com) is an appropriate solution for the marketing
problems of MSMEs. Launching of NSIC's B2C web portal www.msmeshopping.com.e-commerce
shopping portal, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises(MSMEs) will be
immensely benefitted for both buyers and sellers. NSIC had launched
their B2B portal five years back which is running successfully. Now
NSIC is launching B2C portal, which is indeed a very commendable effort.
This is one of its kinds as MSMEs shall be able to sell Retail products
as well as Industrial equipment/machineries online and it isa holistic,
innovative and low-cost marketing platform for MSMEs. Speaking on the
occasion, Dr HP Kumar, CMD, NSIC emphasised that the Micro and Small
Enterprise development is one of the thrust areas NSIC which can be
achieved by way of providing hand holding support to the small enterprises
in selection and operation of selected enterprises. NSIC- B2C MSME Shopping
is one of the appropriate tools to achieve this goal, as it provides
necessary facilities for the prospective entrepreneurs and start-up
companies to learn product purchase on line and processes coupled with
technology development, business development etc., under one roof. The
shopping portal is the need of the day for the MSME sector which is
struggling to cope up with challenges of Traditional marketing of their
products in the domestic market, in addition to their problems of Finance
and Technology. Apart from manufacturing hindrances, marketing of products
is also a big challenge for MSMEs in regime of melting global boundaries,
particularly when the domestic retails markets are being flooded with
International brands, informed the CMD,NSIC. Marketing has always been
a very expensive affair and MSMEs find very difficult to source big
budgets on Advertisements, Brand building and in maintaining sales distribution
channels along with handling other marketing intricacies. This results
in larger dependence on middle men who eat away their profit margin.
Online selling portal of NSIC www.msmeshopping.comis an appropriate
solution for the marketing problems of MSMEs. Major features of the
portal are 'Online registration', 'Web store management', 'Popular products
section', 'Multi product cart', 'Online buying and selling', 'Customer
support through call centre', 'Attractive range of products', 'Competitive
price', 'Payment gateway for membership subscription and enhanced security
features', stated Dr Kumar.

What is the character of Narendra Modi ?( DEBATE1)
Our present PM is no Hitler, no Mussolini etc. or anything of that sort.
He is a pucca Gujarati businessman who knows how to fool the people
and sell his goods. By promising "Corruption Free" "Different
from Congress' and so many other attracting catchy words, he fooled
the common man including yours sincerely and purchased ourcountry. Only
god knows what is he upto. I voted for him with the hope that prices
of essential edible items will come down. Immediately after his taking
over, the rail fare has hiked, cost of petrol, electricity has gone
up, the accounts books of business establishments have become black,
special privileges for politicians and his secretaries have been introduced
in Air India and Airports. The latest is, he has become the "PM
of UP and Bihar only" in the standoff between the students and
the UPSC. Gradually they are destroying even institutions like UPSC.
I pray to almighty everyday that this great country is not divided into
26 countries by this businessman. I had voted for him. Is there any
way I can take back my vote?

Is the new govt different ?
It is not only the appointment of Tripathi as Member (Tech) of DVC that
is held up by ACC! DVC is functioning without a Chairman or the other
requisite board members for more than a year now as appointment of candidates
recommended by PESB for these posts are held up at various government
levels since a long time. Does a prestigious and important organization
like the DVC deserve this? The same is the case with MMTC, NHPC and
so many other CPSUs. Is the new government any different from the previous
one?

"UPSC Imbroglio"
The GOI has deleted the portion on English language comprehension skills
(of Class X level). This carries 22.5 marks. This is not enough. No one
questions the need to test comprehension, inter-personal skills including
communication skills, logical reasoning and analytical ability, decision-making
and problem- solving, general mental ability. No one opposes testing
candidates' familiarity with the English language.
The aspirants' demand is scrapping of C-SAT paper -II as its pattern
is alleged to be heavily biased in favour of candidates from the Science,
Engineering and Management streams but hit those from the humanities
streams and with rural background. Why not have a level playing field
for all. The UPSC can always raise the cut-off level to select candidates
for the Mains.
The demand is just and rational. In the Prelims, each mark is important
to decide the fate of candidates due to huge clustering at each cut-off.
There is already a subjective paper on English in the Mains which is
compulsory and qualifying.
The GOI should not carry out changes just for the sake of change. Language
is an emotive issue in India and must be handled with care.

Non supply of the copy of the inquiry report
The appellant wanted to know the status of inquiry initiated against
him and sought copies of the feedbacks collected by the Inquiry
officer from the students, etc. claiming that such forms could
be his defending evidence. On first appeal, the First Appellate
Authority (FAA) directed to provide a copy of the inquiry report
as and when received from the concerned. The CIC noted that the
appellant was to be intimated about the conclusion of the inquiry
and dropping of charges against him and by the time the FAA advised
to provide a copy of the Inquiry Report, the inquiry was completed
and the charges against the appellant were dropped. As this fact
was not put up before the FAA, the CIC held that it amounts to
suppression of vital information and noncompliance of FAA orders.
The CIC observed that it is a very pathetic nonresponsive attitude
of the department against a teacher who is made to suffer without
any relief or information about the dropping of charges against
him and issued a cause notice to the PIO for imposing penalty.
The CIC also granted a token amount of Rs.1,000/ as compensation
to the appellant, for the loss suffered for the nonsupply of information.
Comments
The accused has a right to have a copy of the inquiry report,
whether it is favorable or not, upon completion of the inquiry.
He has this right both under the Right to Information Act, 2005
and under the principles of natural justice.
