DEBATE - What bureaucracy of the country feel ?
There has been a lot of hue and cry over the (mis)rule of the UPA under Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh. The alarming defeat of the Congress party in the recently held state Assembly polls has only added fuel to the fire. We invite the decision makers to make their own assessment regarding the above notion about Dr Singh's tenure and feel free to post us that How do they rate performance of the economist Prime Minister as a head of the government? Please be short, to the point and objective in your assessment which should not be more than 200 words or so since too long statements and opinions don't attract much audience.

Kejriwal too is disappointing

I had high regard for Kejriwal and co. But highly disappointed now because of his false promises like free water of 700 litre to all families, slashing electricity bills by 50% calling Sheila a corrupt CM. What he has done contrary to his promises- Water charges increased by 10% for majority of Households as soon as they consume the limit of 20 kl a month, electricity subsidy only compensates power companies at tax payers cost or at the cost of other welfare/development schemes, Now asking to give evidence to prove corruption against Sheila shows that he was making false promises. On the accommodation allotted to him instead of straight way saying no to the 10 room bungalow he said it is smaller than his predecessor bungalow. Then how is he different. Regarding CWG scam he now says that he had collected information through newspapers only. When is he going to investigate the charges. If he has no documentary evidence why he claimed that there was scam in CWG by Delhi Govt. Before election he said that he will neither support nor take support from Congress Or BJP then how he formed the Govt with Congress support. Now his party says they will field candidates for all 26LS seats in Gujrat and block Modi from becoming PM.All this certifies that he is in fact a B team of Congress and BJP is right if they say so. It now appears that this is a party of sosagiri and hypocrites without and ideology and national policy. This is a party of activists only after all only removal of corruption will not build or develop the nation's economy. Abhi Dekhna aage aage hota hai kya. Jan LokPal kaha tak jata hai. Desh ki Janta to Bheed ke peechhe jaati hai AAP ki membership bhee essi Bheed ka natija hai. Those big persons now becoming its members are not without self interest limited get LS ticket.

L S Negi

An unwanted advice :

1. AAP should not go about singing the errors and corruption of previous government...more you do Congress baiting more you lose your credibility...witch hunting will not take you anywhere except downhill
(Choose your Spokesperson well n urgently... and all others should be warned not to get tempted by microphone)

2. High time media stopped analyzing and kite flying about AAP and AAP alone...who is next PM whether Kumar Vishwas will defeat Rahul...Kejriwal 's fever chart and stool test report etc etc... Delhi is not the only state in India. There are other states too in India

Opinion Polls or Opinionated Polls ?

The media lobbies are feverishly looking for good business in this general election euphoria environment. After all this is business time for them. So opinion polls have already been commissioned, portraying success or failure of the PM hopefuls according to their plastered choice. TV channels have long kept the tally at 65 Y & 35 N by telling voters "you have already voted" even before casting their votes or simply not registering the voter choice when it goes against their preferred candidate. It is more disastrous to the aam aadmi & the country than all the fouls scored by the incumbent government.Good that the WIC has maintained its neutrality in such a vacuum of ethics!

Finance Minister

Finance Minister is making futile exercise to get data from Swiss Authorities knowing fully well that the money which has been transferred was generated in India. The exercise taken by FM is good but will not give any result only wastage of time. It means we have very weak system in place that give rise of unaccounted money. It is reported in media that stars are charging crores of rupees for a day performance in TV shows, stage shows or cinema etc. IT department has to devise a method and monitor such cases and make sure that proper tax is collected. This is just a symptom of disease. Unfortunately, most of the time, energy, man power of IT department is wasted in chasing the small tax payers whose taxable income is less than 10 lakhs. May I submit to FM to stop scrutinizing the cases of small tax payers of salaried class (Govt. and Private)and re-orient man power in more efficient work for collection of taxes which is not tapped by the Govt. that give rise to unaccounted money. Please concentrate in our own country to put the system in order.

Scale down our embassies overseas

It is time we scale down our embassies overseas. There should be a accountability audit of all our missions to find out whether it is worth to maintain all such embassies which are a drain on our exchequer. In addition to getting all perks and privileges, some of them use the poverty of our nation in importing servants at meager salary as happened in the case of Ms. Khorpagade. Americans think what she was doing was tantamount to cheating a child of her piggy bank.

DATE WITH RTI

Should the bank account details of the deceased be provided to his son?

Copy of the application form of the SB account of appellant's late father was denied by the PIO under section 8(1)(d) of the RTI Act. The appellant stated that he was seeking information with reference to an HUF account in which his father was the 'karta'. The appellant claimed that after the death of his father, the account has been transferred irregularly. The appellant stated that he wanted to know the circular / rules / guidelines under which the bank had transferred the account following his father's death without taking him into consideration. The respondent bank stated that the appellant's father had passed away subsequent to which the bank allowed the account to be operated by the senior most 'karta' who happened to be the elder brother of the appellant. The respondent added that the situation changed after the appellant's mother later passed away. When the matter was reviewed by the bank, a decision was taken after due legal consultation that the account in question was an account in which only the 'karta' was allowed to operate. The CIC directed the PIO to provide a copy of the rules followed by the bank in the matter.

Comments

The commercial interests of the bank are paramount and a bank is not expected to disclose the details of its bank account holders to anyone. A bank account holder alone is entitled to know about the account.
