?
There has been a lot of hue and cry over the (mis)rule of the UPA under
Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh. The alarming defeat of the Congress
party in the recently held state Assembly polls has only added fuel
to the fire. We invite the decision makers to make their own assessment
regarding the above notion about Dr Singh's tenure and feel free to
post us that How do they rate performance of the economist Prime Minister
as a head of the government? Please be short, to the point and objective
in your assessment which should not be more than 200 words or so since
too long statements and opinions don't attract much audience.

Fault line of AAP
Aam Admi Party has a fault line. It has projected itself as a sole crusader
against corruption and inefficiency and therefore, it has alienated
a large number of other crusaders like Kiran Bedi, Anna Hazare, Baba
Ramdev, etc. who are feeling cheated. This misappropriation of credit
may be beneficial in the short run for the party especially in election,
but it is going to be counterproductive in the long run for the country.
We are lagging behind china because INC had also committed the same
mistake by misappropriating all the credit for the freedom struggle.
Why the forces of Kejriwal not join the forces of Modi for a better
India. Instead of running a minority government in Delhi, AAP should
have supported Dr Harshavardhan. After all Kejriwal has also admitted
that Dr Harshvardhan has been an honest politician. It is not too late
for AAP to abandon the path of instability and join NOMO for better
India. Joining NAMO will also strengthen NAMO in weeding out the corrupt
from the BJP. Can Kejriwal dare to take the challenge or will succumb
to so called pseudo seculars. The present politics of AAP is only going
to ensure a hung Parliament and a weak PM, even if it is Modi. What
a great loss just for nothing.

Please post this in the comment section:
If Modi wins General election 2014, tax reforms as per BJP's upcoming
Lok Sabha manifesto will happen (Gadkari and Dr. Swamy are for it).
If income tax is abolished in India, IRS (IT) cadre should completely
be abolished. After 2014, IRS officers are likely to be unemployed and
to find new jobs. There are currently 10 countries in the world which
have no income tax at all.

Shame on entire IAS community
It is very sad that high officials in Haryana Government are actively
supporting the politician's vendetta against an upright, non-nonsense
Officer like Ashok Khemka. IAS officers in Haryana do not have any spine
and are only out to curry favors from the political bosses. They are
a shame on the entire IAS community and are also not following the constitutional
responsibility as defined in the Conduct Rules. Why are all-India IAS
associations silent and not raising a finger against this outrage?

"Half-baked idea is okay as long as it's in the oven"
The new CM of Delhi has turned all Delhiites into undercover agents
to entrap corrupt government servants through sting operations. He has
virtually crowd-sourced vigilance functions without ascertaining the
legal admissibility of evidences collected through undercover operations.
Consider other implications. What steps have been taken to: (a) Maintain
the anonymity of sting operator; (b) Give protection to complainants;
(c) Prevent blackmailing by complainants. How far would the populist
scheme result in actual prosecution of corrupt officials is a million
dollar question. Considering the scale of operations of undercover operations,
one could see huge impact on sale of hi-fi mobile phones. Covert operations
by decoy officials of anti-corruption cell of NCT Delhi, would prove
far more effective than entrusting the job to the poor, illiterate aggrieved
who are non-professionals. The sting operation is a complicated confidence
game planned and executed with great care.

Devyani Khobragade strip searched !
I would urge all your readers to go to You Tube and type ," Devyani
Khobragade strip searched" ,and judge for themselves if the so
called procedure followed by the US Marshalls on Devyani using a blunt
instrument doesn't amount to rape in plain English ? We should subject
the US Ambassador to India Miss Nanacy Hull to the same procedure with
the help of Delhi Police's muscular jat policemen.Print this if you
have the guts to call yourself a patriotic Indian.

Should the bank account details of the deceased be provided
to his son?
Copy of the application form of the SB account of appellant's
late father was denied by the PIO under section 8(1)(d) of the
RTI Act. The appellant stated that he was seeking information
with reference to an HUF account in which his father was the 'karta'.
The appellant claimed that after the death of his father, the
account has been transferred irregularly. The appellant stated
that he wanted to know the circular / rules / guidelines under
which the bank had transferred the account following his father's
death without taking him into consideration. The respondent bank
stated that the appellant's father had passed away subsequent
to which the bank allowed the account to be operated by the senior
most 'karta' who happened to be the elder brother of the appellant.
The respondent added that the situation changed after the appellant's
mother later passed away. When the matter was reviewed by the
bank, a decision was taken after due legal consultation that the
account in question was an account in which only the 'karta' was
allowed to operate. The CIC directed the PIO to provide a copy
of the rules followed by the bank in the matter.
Comments
The commercial interests of the bank are paramount and a bank
is not expected to disclose the details of its bank account holders
to anyone. A bank account holder alone is entitled to know about
the account.
