UP headed by Muslim bureaucrats, Is it a coincidence ?
While Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary Javed Usmani is a Muslim, the newly appointed DGP Rizwan Ahmad also belongs to the minorities. Is it just a coincidence that Uttar Pradesh is being headed by Muslim bureaucrats or something more than what meets the eye ? This question is being asked in view of the fact that several communal riots have occurred in UP during Samajwadi Party rule and just before the LS polls Akhilesh Sarkar seems to be in trouble due to recent Muzaffarnagar riots - specially because of its alleged negligent attitude towards relief camps where riots hits are camping. With the latest appointment, Akhilesh government is looking engaged in damage control by handing over the command of state to bureaucrats belonging to Muslim community.

Hope AAP does not meet same fate

People always looked for an alternative of the stereotypes. AGP, SP and BSP in UP etc were such phenomena but where they are. Hope AAP does not meet the same fate. Also hope that AAP goes to other states also as people are waiting for such an alternative. Last UP election saw one Dr. Ayub but he started taking like these parties only and you see where he is. Fingers crossed.

All right thinking people should strengthen Kejriwal's hands

Arvind Kejriwal and his team require all the support and good whishes but unfortunately cynics and critics are longing to see that he falters. His ultimate success would be a bloodless revolution and hence all right thinking people should strengthen his hands.

AAP finding hard to find 'honest' bureaucrats - My suggestion: Vivek Rae, Petroleum Secretary (Retiring in Feb '14) is a well known upright officer, bachelor, philosopher and 'No-Yes Man' to politicians. He will be a best choice to become an advisor to AK subject to Rae's willingness.

Should the 25% account holder be provided the bank account details?

The appellant's request for the details of a bank account was denied by the PIO referring to the appellant as the 'third party'. The appellant claimed that the denial was not correct as he had sought information regarding an entity in which he is a 25% share holder and a director. The appellant sought information about certain balance sheet, insurance charges, cash credit limits and information about the alleged misappropriation. The respondent bank stated that the bank had denied the information to the appellant as it seems that there is a family dispute and that the appellant is a brother of the person who is running the entity. The respondent stated that they have no intention to withhold any information, but are awaiting an authority letter from the company in favour of the appellant to provide the information. The CIC directed the respondent to provide the information to the appellant within 30 days on the condition of receipt of the requisite letter of authority.

Comments

The details of bank account are personal information and are held by the bank in fiduciary capacity. Even a 25 % account holder is not eligible to get the information unless approved by the account holder.
