The pressure of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi for installing good governance in Government of India is mounting on the bureaucrats and employees with the Ministers of concerned Departments acting as a goad to administrative reforms so as to give performance.

Tit for Tat by Modi Government
It was UPA 1 Government which penalised the civil servants who served as PS or OSD with NDA Ministers. Let alone being appointed in the Ministerial staff in UPA government, Many of them did not even get regular assignments in central government for months. This was the first time that such action was taken against career civil servants. Now Modi Government is giving it back to UPA. But the same treatment was not given to APSs and other junior staff who are the real caucus. Many of them have served Ministers for more than 20 years at stretch, no matter who forms the government at Center.

The Union Ministers who would suffer the pains of loosing their choice are; Rajnath Singh, Kiren Rijiju, Nazma Heptullah, A Ganapathi Raju, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Smriti Irani & Siddheshwar.

Sameer Verma, who is presently in the cadre, has been appointed as Private Secretary to Ms Uma Bharti, Minister for Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation. He is a 2002 batch IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre.

No suitable candidate found for Chairman, AAI
The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has failed to find a suitable candidate for the post of Chairman, Airports Authority of India (AAI) despite having conducted interviews of seven persons on June 17, 2014. Now, the Board has decided to see more candidates for the same.

6 IFS officers transferred in Chhattisgarh (UPDATED)
As many as six officers of Indian Forest Service (IFS) have been shifted in Chhattisgarh. Accordingly, Shrish Chandra Agrawal has been appointed as Executive Director, State Minor Forest Produce Federation while Sanjay Shukla as Commissioner, Chhattisgarh Housing Board and Yunus Ali was made MD, Chhattisgarh Textbook Corporation, Raipur. Replace personal staff

Officials/Officers who worked as the Personal Staff of various Ministers of UPA I & II need to be replaced by the new Government by choosing the honest and upright officers who can be easily identified in each and every department. Maintaining Confidentiality particularly in sensitive cases is of paramount importance. Key Policy Changes should be a well guarded secret. It is time the Presnt Govt., particulary the PMO issued instructions to all the New Ministers to take note of this and find suitable alternatives for the Personal Staff of former Union Ministers.

Where has talent gone ?

Of late, people are keen to work with Ministers only to get housing, transport and to get postings in multilateral institutions/develop contacts with business magnates and industrialists. Most of them are bereft of the functioning of the Ministry. When Late R. Venkataraman was the Finance Minister, he simply called three dossiers of senior IAS Officers in the Finance Ministry and picked Deepak Dasgupta an IAS Officer purely on merit/experience and record as his PS. Nowadays, Ministers have become so parochial that a Minister from Bihar prefers only a PS from Bihar and so is the case with most of the Ministers. Where has talent gone ? I am sure Narendra Modi won't do this.

Find UP's law and order solution

Keeping in view the law and order situation of U.P. I feel it is high time a solution must be found by the Central Government, ideal would be to divide into 4/5 states, 20 crores management is impossible. The 4/5 parts will automatically become competitive too and easy to manage population of 4/5 crores. It would give boost to economic upliftment too. As it is it is as good as one country.

We work only under pressure

Nowadays cleaning drive and punctuality drive is in full swing in Ministries/Deptts. Why it should require an order from PM ? Why Secretaries concerned can not enforce these things. We work only when pressure comes. This is the weakness of our character.

Take strict action

Now the Commissioner SDMC should be in line to go. Both of them shielded their relatives for their violations of building by-laws. I urge the responsible officers in the Delhi Govt. to take strict action against such officers. I also urge the New DC, SDMC to take immediate action against those who have constructed illegal works without Corporation's approval, especially in E-Block, Saket.

DA be merged with basic pay

It should be merged without fail. CG employees will be benefitted, if, DA merged with basic pay. Except such time of petty things CG employees gets scam and burden of mehangaai.
