It is a shame
It is shame on the part of Health Minister and Health Ministry. Due
to non-payment of bills the facility has been withdrawn!! Stop the Ghotalas
of crores of rupees. Only GOD can save our country !

"A wrap on pensioners' knuckles"
Withdrawal of cashless facility from CGHS pensioners for treatment at
empanelled hospitals is a cruel parting gift of the outgoing Government
impacting some 30 lakh pensioners who will first mobilize funds for
emergencies and then wait endlessly for re-imbursement from corrupt
CGHS administration. The Minister of Health was more concerned with
MCI chief's appointment and transferring the honest union health Secretary
than be sensitive to pensioners' difficulties.
A K Saxena (A retired civil servant)
Govt establishing Babu Raj
Government is establishing babu raj by doing away with cashless facility
for CGHS beneficiaries .Now every one including pensioners will have
to run around the office of DG,CHGS etc to get the reimbursement .This
will open up additional avenues for corruption !!!One hopes the present
set of officers working in Min. of H&FW realise that they too will
face same difficulties once they retire and take corrective action now.

Why should a Health Secretary hear us ?
We tried to reach to the government through this forum not to withdraw
cashless facility to the CGHS beneficiaries from private recognised
hospitals but why should a Health Secretary hear us. He can always go
to AIIMS with red beaconed car with support staff. Even after retirement,
his successor can help him out. This is a problem of we the lesser souls.
This issue was raised in the parliament. The Health minister had replied
that the cashless facilities for the pensioners continued. But now it
has been withdrawn. If somebody knows the MP he should put his hands
on to reach the Health minister or even the Prime Minister. Otherwise
we the pensioners are in for the miseries.
N K Das, Dwarka, New Delhi.
Take immediate action to help CGHS beneficiaries
Government must take immediate action to help CGHS beneficiaries including
retired govt. employees so that they are not deprived of cashless facilites
presently being given by private approved hospitals w.e.f. March 7.
An advertisement from Association of Healthcare Providers of India in
ToI dated March 4, 2014 refers. They claim that more than Rs.200 crores
remains unpaid by CGHS to member hospitals for a very long period. Health
Minister may kindly intervene before it is too late.

It will be a boon !
By extending two years service of central government employees, it will
be a boon, golden opportunity to win the parliamentary election by the
congress and to come in power again in prove BAZIGAR, hari hui baji
jeetna. The political survey, news channels and people/janta describing
the graph of congress party is going below. Otherwise on winning the
election the BJP party once again extend the service of central Govt
employees two years as done earlier by Vajpayee Govt.

BPL could be a Income Tax Payee ?
Could anybody think in this country that a typical family member(s)
below poverty line [BPL] could be a Income Tax Payee? Sum total of benefits
under all GoI, State Government Schemes availed by fortunate ones could
substantiate this aspect. Think of a well to do characters in Maharashtra,
who availed benefits under almost all schemes by a single individual
as also by a family. Quite possible, this is all pervasive phenomena
elsewhere. Income Tax Authorities are keeping blind eye on all such
entities. Who cares about multiplicity of subsidies, sops and all that
which are grabbed by power that be...
Think of variety of schemes, programmes of a number of Ministries,
Departments before brushing aside above argument... please

NCM plagued with mismanagement
As a citizen belonging to the largest minority community of this country,
I find that NCM is now plagued with mismanagement and inaction. Minorities
are hardly getting any relief from this body. The work culture has been
crippled during the last 3 years. It is almost a derailed organization,
totally failed in fulfillment of its mandate. The last three years have
witnessed internal wrangling, leg pulling and steep downfall in output
of the commission resulting in complete loss of faith of minorities,
especially Muslims in this organization. Mr Naseem Ahmad has the uphill
task of getting rid of useless elements or at least neutralize them
in the commission and to galvanize its functioning. Whether he succeeds
or not? This has to be seen. Else the Commission will be perceived to
be transformed into a resort for reemployment of retired Muslim bureaucrats
in a relaxed atmosphere. Why cant the people like Prof Tahir Mehmood
are now given this assignment? Mr Naseem Ahmad has to prove his worth.

Basis of fixing the relative seniority of the candidates
The appellant is working as Loco Pilot (Goods) and claimed that
the matter of his seniority has been pending since 2001 when he
was working as assistant loco pilot. He sought to know the status
of his seniority and demanded a copy of the seniority list so
that he knows where he stands in the relative seniority. The respondent
stated that the appellant knows what his seniority is and as far
as the seniority list is concerned, that has also been given on
17.7.2012. The respondent further explained that the appellant
is having a problem with the seniority which is in the nature
of grievance redressal and not a matter to be taken up under RTI
Act. The appellant argued that his seniority was fixed on adhoc
basis without consideration of the marks he secured in the training.
He had secured 83 marks in the training and that his seniority
is not reflecting the 83 marks. The CIC noted that there were
a number of candidates with 83 marks and the appellant wants to
know the relative seniority of all those candidates who secured
83 marks; and the basis of fixing the relative seniority of all
the candidates who secured equal marks. The CIC directed to provide
the information.
Comments
Fixing of seniority has to be done as per transparent norms. The
pubic authority should suo-motu provide such information to the
employees lest they are forced to approach the information commission
for their service related matters.
