As I understand , Whisper in the Corridors has
been an important search document for the readers who would like to
be updated with the bureaucrats. I believe, this can also be an window
to express one's viewpoints over the bureaucrats role in tandem, given

Election Commission's reputation at stake?
It is alleged by some party that EC action during election was not completely
impartial and has raised voice for free and fair election. It is further
alleged by some people that strict action was not taken for following
incidents:
1. People entering with cap having party symbol in polling booth in
Delhi and breaking Queue.
2. Action for attacking officials engaged in poll process in West Bengal.
3. Against some Ministers using un-parliamentary language & making
derogatory personal remarks about others.
4. Giving permission to some party to hold rallies and refusing to one
party in the name of security perception.
5. Leaders going to voting machines during polling time. In case EVM
was faulty, its log books will be available which will reflect the timings
when EVMs were not working and who set EVM right and the time of working
right. Has these points were verified before arriving any conclusion?
EC has to take any action with serious and impartial note being Constitutional
body and not under the influence of ruling Govt. All the best for concluding
General Election-Successful.

What non-sense is this?
If you go by statistics, one in every five IAS officers do such additional
academic work. Why Vishnu should be referred here? You will become redundant
if you start giving such informations.

elay in transfer of ration card
The ration card of the appellant was transferred since 15-11-2012
to a fair price shop 30 Kms away from his house from where he
was not able to draw the rations since then and purchasing the
same in the open market by paying Rs. 800/- extra every month
and thus suffering financial loss. He filed five applications
under the Right to Information (RTI) Act seeking details of various
ration card holders, details of fair price shops, details of the
cards which are transferred, details of the employees who will
handle complaints, guidelines for transfer of ration cards from
one area to another area etc.. The respondent submitted that no
human error was involved and the transfer occurred due to the
computer system fault. The respondent felt that the appellant's
card also should have been set right before the enactment of National
Food Security Act but the appellant would now have to wait till
July, 2014 as the respondent office is neither issuing the new
cards nor renewing the old cards till then. The CIC observed that
this will amount to denial of ration card and ration to deserving
appellant, which go against the objective of food security. Directing
the respondent to provide the information, the Commission issued
a show cause notice to the PIO for imposing penalty and granted
a compensation of Rs. 250/ per month till the date of restoration
of ration card to the appellant.
