Brains behind Modi's Mega success
Narendra Modi who has steered BJP to an unprecedented victory is no less than a mystery. He has made history by delivering a crushing defeat to the ruling Indian National Congress party, which has controlled Indian politics for most of the past 60 years. Winning more than 272 parliamentary seats, the B.J.P. received the strongest mandate of any party in 30 years.
Few would be aware that as a chief architect of his electrifying mega campaign, Modi had deployed the best brains of the domain apart from stalwarts like Amit Shah and alike. Here we have a glance over the top 12 brains behind Modi's success.

1. K Kailashnathan:
The senior former IAS officer formed the backbone of Modi's support system supervising the teams and task masters across fields. Kailashnathan, popularly known as K K, is presently serving Modi in the capacity of Chief Principal Secretary to Gujarat CM. Throughout the elections campaign K K not only managed the public & policy related affairs for Modi but served as single-window-solution supervising host of tasks and facilitating a spectrum of teams and campaigns.

2. Jagdish Thakkar:

3. Prashant Kishore:
A young professional, having experience of working with UN, within three years of association with Narendra Modi earned his unfathomable trust and rose to one of the chief architects of Modi's mega campaigns. Prashant's initiative 'Citizens for Accountable Governance' played crucial role in roping-in hundreds of young pro-Modi professionals across IT & management sectors. He proved his mettle as strategic-planner in communication & marketing for Modi's mega campaign. In addition, Modi depended heavily on him for study & analysis of winability of seats and candidates while finalising tickets. He also handled popular campaign "Chai pe charcha".

4. Rajesh Jain:
Rajesh Jain, a man behind 'India Infoline', puts up in Mumbai. Insiders claim for him as one of the best strategic brains behind Modi. As a key news maker Jain closely observed Modi's media campaign and advised on the right mix of approach to project/present Modi in the mass media.

5. Hiren Joshi:
The former RSS man worked effortlessly on Mission-Modi as Officer on Special Duty at Chief Minister's Office handled the campaign called "India-272". As Modi's digital-media-strategist he successfully led a jumbo team of over 2,000 volunteers in managing the portals of Modi and his social media campaigns.

6. Manish Baradia:
Baradia, a documentary maker, keeps in Ahmedabad. Primarily he is a creative professional having core competence in audio-visual production. He ensured the effective and powerful representation of Modi in his campaign. Insiders say that it was Baradia who finally approved each audio-visual PR campaign & commercials as a production controller of ad creatives.

7. Devang Nanavati:
The Ahmedabad based advocate has been working closely with Narendra Modi advising him on legal issues since years. Throughout the campaign he kept a sharp vigil on intricacies of mass campaign in anticipation and legal complexities. Nanavati counts much among Modi's team of strategists. Retirement age should not be increased:

Retirement age should not be increased. This would be one of the blunders of the new government. if they do so. There is already lot of unemployment. Enhancing the retirement age will restrict employment opportunities for the youth of this country who have whole heartedly supported Mr. Modi. Enhancing retirement age will benefit all the employees out of which 90% may not be productive. If any extraordinary person is to be retained, it can be done on case basis.

Scandalum maganatum

The outgoing PM, as also the incoming PM, have been subjected by their respective party persons to "damn with faint praise, assent with civil leer, and without sneering, others teach to sneer". So the Ministers of Dr. Manmohan Singh's council are blaming his "silence" for the party's decimation in election 2014, forgetting their own cacophony that put the PM to silence every time he tried to open his mouth while these Ministers and party stalwarts did all the talking, Dr. Singh was asked to maintain complete silence. Meanwhile the poisonous tongues spewing communal venom have started their operations. The TV shows are once again giving them prominent coverage as post election damage to be inflicted as huge financial stakes of exploiters of the past 60 years of the weakening system realize the threat to their interests. Once more vituperative experts have started putting up brave faces ignoring the illustrious ancestry of the sharp tongued persons as illustrious as Rishi Durbasa, Ravan, Kans etc down to the class called "khal" (wicked). Tolerate their bitter words as valiantly as the mighty mountains tolerate the attack of the heavy rains!

elay in transfer of ration card

The ration card of the appellant was transferred since 15-11-2012 to a fair price shop 30 Kms away from his house from where he was not able to draw the rations since then and purchasing the same in the open market by paying Rs. 800/- extra every month and thus suffering financial loss. He filed five applications under the Right to Information (RTI) Act seeking details of various ration card holders, details of fair price shops, details of the cards which are transferred, details of the employees who will handle complaints, guidelines for transfer of ration cards from one area to another area etc.. The respondent submitted that no human error was involved and the transfer occurred due to the computer system fault. The respondent felt that the appellant's card also should have been set right before the enactment of National Food Security Act but the appellant would now have to wait till July, 2014 as the respondent office is neither issuing the new cards nor renewing the old cards till then. The CIC observed that this will amount to denial of ration card and ration to deserving appellant, which go against the objective of food security. Directing the respondent to provide the information, the Commission issued a show cause notice to the PIO for imposing penalty and granted a compensation of Rs. 250/ per month till the date of restoration of ration card to the appellant.

Comments

This is an instance where the RTI Act has been used for getting a grievance redressed.
