Now NDA to decide on NBA Chairman
Whispers have been doing round the corners that the appointment of the Chairman of National Bio-diversity Authority may feel the heat of change at centre. The Selection Committee on April 29 has reportedly selected V Rajagopalan's name for the top post. Now only the new MoEF Minister (NDA Govt) would be sending the selected name to ACC for its ratification. Rajagopalan, a 1978 batch IAS officer of UP cadre, is serving Secretary, MoEF, Government of India. Will this selection beat the heat of change of regime at centre?

Bold decisions required

Very well said. New Government should take some bold decisions to streamline the bureaucracy. It should reduce the strength of personal staff of each and every minister to a minimum. People are sitting in the offices of Ministers for a long time and some of them even don't know about their original work.

A new wind blows in country

We celebrate the return of democracy after a decade of aberration when we lived under a regime where we had a prime minister not elected by the people but nominated by the party president. We had a regime which destroyed so many of our well-established institutions. Under which favouritism and nepotism flourished. Bureaucracy became termite-infested wood rather than a steel frame. We have hope now that corrective measures will be taken to bring back some ethics and morality in the functioning of civil services. India is vibrating with hope and optimism. One man has changed the mood of the country. You are a real leader Mr. Modi.

Cabinet will consist of leaders born after independence

There is media speculation that that the cabinet will consist of leaders born after independence. The media is attributing the same to the older lot not fitting in with youthful aspirations. But the media is forgetting that the new Chief Minister of Gujarat is 72. Is that not evidence that all the speculation is incorrect ?
