Hard decisions by Modi only after November elections?
It is heard that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take hard decisions only after the Vidhan Sabha elections in November. One can wait and watch.

Survey -

15 percent people say Modi is like Hitler But others say he is now World leader !

Call him authoritarian, rigid, egoist or even insular, the fact remains that the country's new Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also 'firm and disciplined', charismatic, very hardworking and a great visionary having clear goal in his mind - how to make the country a World Leader.

And in doing so, his charisma within a short span of less than 100 days has been such that he has become the third most followed world leader on Twitter though many compare him even with Adolf Hitler.

It is in this backdrop that Whispersinthecorridors.com invited views on - Whether Modi is Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini, Roosevelt or Churchill ?

While 15 percent of the total respondents said that his character was akin to Hitler, many even compared him with Mahatma Gandhi, Lee Kuan Yew and Margrate Thatcher. Some said that he is a mix of all.

"No Apartheid Against non-IAS Services"

Your report ( Sept 8, 2014) that the " PMO would induct a set of 6-8 Joint Secretary rank officers soon who may be entrusted with set of departments to coordinate with ", enhanced the feel-good factor.

Problem : How would the PM select Joint Secretaries. Under previous dispensation, all appointments decisions were Sonia-centric later formalised by former PM. DOP&T never tapped its data bank prepared after collecting background details of officers of all organized services which was to be regularly updated. Huge efforts made in this regard were rendered infructuous. This led to corruption, cronyism, arbitrariness and rampant political interference.

Officers at top echelons misused discretionary powers to keep the political bosses happy. This caused massive heart burnings besides accentuating inter-Services rivalry. The perception that wisdom is the monopoly of only one elite Service, is misplaced. There is no dearth of talent in other organized Services like IPS, IFS,I FoS, IRS ( Custom, IT), Railways, Accounts, Audit, Postal etc

May I urge the PM through this illustrious website to remove the perpetual discrimination and spread the selection of Joint Secretaries of the proposed team of super Secretaries to all Services? There should be fair representation of all services at key positions, subject to merit. No extraneous considerations. I trust, with his vast administrative experience and clear vision , PM will take the call.

Congratulations - Dr. Ashwani Kumar

Dr. Ashwani Kumar, IFS, UP Cadre has joined as Director General, ICFRE, MoEF. You said long back. I congratulate him for his successful tenure in ICFRE. He may be successful, if he is able to remove differences between Scientists and IFS and bring them at one platform, without favouring IFS officers. He should maintain balance between IFS and Scientists in Administrative post and bring more scientists in decision making posts. Further, he should have independent decision. CAG reports recently published in Down to Earth is sufficient to understand and bring ICFRE at national and international level.

Tin Patti should not be illegal

Playing Tin Patti or any form of such acts should not be illegal. It merely implies voluntary transfer of assets from one major person to another . Why should it be illegal unless there is some coercion involved or a complaint of forcing someone to play. Let there be casinos etc. like other developed countries, it will generate employment and also earn huge revenue for government

CGHS pensioners ke liye bure din aa gaye hain

The specialists don't come every day. There are over one dozen. CMO and they just while away their time. I think for over one dozen dispensaries they need to post one CSS officer and most of the medicines have just to be issued only. It is only a clerical job and you don't need doctors for just issuing medicines. Hope the health minister wakes up soon to redress the grievances soon.

Don't include Khobragade in Indian delegation

Devyani Khobragade shouldn't be included in the entourage of Indian delegation to USA when PM visits America. She brought discredit to the entire Indian diaspora by filing false information and made all NRIs as violators of Rules. USA does not discriminate between Diplomats and ordinary citizens. His father by taking umbrage to Ambedkar is trying to whip up emotions. At any cost, PM Modi should not take this lady and spoil the Trip. In America, Jugad Nahi Chalta.
