Restructuring of govt ministries/departments

Instead of appointing new Secretaries, significant Ministries/Departments should first consider restructuring of government Ministries/Departments and clearly define allocation of business rules. Budgetary funds are provided to different Ministries /Departments for same sort of the schemes. Hard earned money of tax payers has to be saved for welfare of the poor.

Many surprises in store for Gandhi family

Gandhi family knows that it is not the benevolent types like Vajpayee and Brijesh Misra who are running the government, but hard nuts like Modi and Dpoval. Perhaps the noose is getting closer. And that is why the family is so jumpy. One can expect many surprises in the coming days.

Investigate all complaints

Prasad's comment on anonymous complaint is right. Any complaint, be it anonymous or otherwise, should be properly investigated. Mainly anonymous complaints are made on the powerful higher ups, so it should be given due weightage to eradicate corruption, etc.

Income Tax Returns

Yes it is correct that Excel utilities are available in e-filing section not where ITRs forms have been made available as for ITR-1 and ITR-2. This is also okay. It would have been much better if it is made available along with the PDF form. Best wishes CBDT.

DATE WITH RTI

Use of park for marriage function

The appellant sought information regarding proposal of Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) to convert the residential park, Rampura into marriage/function site, the copy of approval from the Resident’s Welfare Association (RWA) for the same, copy of MCD clearance, copies of No Objection Certificate (NOC) taken from Delhi Fire Services, etc. The PIO did not provide the information but after the order of the First Appellate Authority (FAA), a reply was provided. The respondent stated that there is no such record and that an undertaking is obtained from the party applying for holding a marriage/function in a park and it is the responsibility of the party to take action on the fire safety measures, etc. The CIC directed the PIO to provide a copy of the undertaking (last booking of park for marriage/function), after redacting the personal information of the third party, whose form is provided to the appellant.

Comments

It is often seen that public parks are given for marriage functions etc. in an arbitrary manner which spoils the garden and also disturbs the residents living in the near vicinity. A clear policy should be drawn in consultation with the residents instead of acting in a random basis.
