Duniya ajeeb hai ....

In London enjoying cup of tea when I meet a very old friend who is a Journo...true sense of the word...who migrated to UK a few months back... upset with his profession!

After the pleasantries. .

Journo: Mr Modi was a real hit here ....never seen such adulation for a Leader ..and UK did it's best to buddy up with India.

Me: Yes....but I simply do not understand why did the UK Journos rake up 2002 during the Joint Press Conference .... if the Brit PM comes to India ..what if we raise the Raj atrocities..or what if at this Conference an Indian Journo raised the return of the Kohinoor (lot of demands here for this back home).

J: Buddy ... yes I was taken a back. .I expected ranting on intolerance ...but this surprised me ... could be the Delhi Correspondent sent some advice or some other pressure! This I know for a fact that the Church is mighty upset with BJP's anti conversion stand and then the Pseudos are also after him!

M: I see ......Delhi Correspondent?????

J: See Correspondents too are humans ..... if this has come from Delhi seems homework was not done and aim was to embarrass Modi.. then ....I am sure the Jhonny/ies there must be pally with the Media in India which is blatantly anti Modi ... after all the upper echelons of Media have the same watering holes and partying circuits!
Bihar.....

M: Yes what about Bihar ....

J: I was following it really closely ...after the turnout at Modi's rallies I was expecting a good win for BJP ....my reading is some of his own people got very nervous seeing the turnout at his rallies ... they wanted Modi to scrape through only ... politics is a strange game ..a Political Parent can bring down a kid if the Parent feels kid can go out of his or her hand! In Bihar reservation is a humongous issue!

M: Got the hint Bro. ...wonder what was in Dalai Lama's mind when he said the Bihar vote was a vote by Hindus for harmony!

J: When you are in a water body in a big pond ... its good to befriend the crocs in both water body and pond! He's hedging ...soon he'll be all praise for Modi! He's just bring Worldly!

M: Paris has shaken everyone up.

J: I do not know when will the Governments in Europe realize it's good to be humane ...but charity starts at home ... by accepting so many refugees they have been 'inhumane' to their own citizens ...exposed them to....amongst these refugees there are many Trojan Horses ...different shades ...and who will create havoc !

M: Yes they could have created external refugee camps or asked some Muslim Country in Syria's neighborhood to accept them and offered to jointly bankroll this settlement!

J: And then why do these pro Islam guys fight and create strife ...when if they follow their standard mode ' humm chaar humaare 16'.. in 10 years they will have a big say in Europe and US...so they need not create strife!!

M: And now India has helped them by banning Surrogacy. ..at least Surrogacy helped Goras to put up a fight!

J: World is now not going to be the same ....

Returning awards

We would admire if someone does it protesting against rape of newborns. There is absolutely false impression of intolerance created by an insecure group scared of Modi and strong govt. Such people enjoy weak and dependent ruler for personal gains against national or society interest. Style of Amit Shah may be bad. HRD minister may be inadequate. Modi fans may be an extreme but there is no tearing hurry to seek Modi replacement.

Making education digital

When the government is talking of digital India, the earliest things which can be made digital is the education system. Starting from the admission procedure to classes and the results, everything should be made digital and made accessible to the student. It will reduce difficulties faced by them and also add to the ease of studies.

Delays in trains, flights

Do you know an airlines has to travel for 2 hours and it gets late by 4 hours. This means 200% loss of efficiency and nobody raises eyebrows. A lot of eyebrows are raised when a train which has to travel 48 hours gets late by 4 hours i.e. loss of efficiency by 8%. In the Indian Railways 2 crore passengers per day, who are subsidized because of political reasons affecting the earnings and safety. In such a scenario if train is late by one hour one should not cry.

Suggestion for cleanliness in trains

All the TTs on board should take care of the toilets in bogies. As soon trains reach outer signal, all the toilets should get locked and as soon pass the outer signal after a halt at stations, it should be unlocked. In this way our railway stations will remain clean without any shit or urine. In the trains Safai Karamchari should take care of the toilets in the trains and if more staff is required should be taken from the staff from the stations as if no shit at the stations will remain clean. Regarding throwing of garbage in the toilets, the staff should take care of the same and canteen staff should also be told not to throw the left overs after the meals served from the running trains as has been done now. Entry at the stations should be only for the passengers, strictly, and not for the accompanying persons as is being done at the airports. Earlier, this suggestion was sent to the Railway Ministry in the year 1974 and then in 1996 when I came back from the Europe tour.

Sound decision on OROP

I agree with SK Sharma on sound decision on OROP. The simplest formula is government in active service got benefit of pay x 1.86 the same should have been given to pensioners (6th Pay Commission) This gap has been increasing/widening right from Ist to 6th Pay Commission. This holds good for each pensioner. Is GoI listening? It can be sorted out in phased manner.

Disclosure of the name of the whistle blower under PIDPI

The appellant filed a complaint related to malpractices in purchase of medical material like Fumy floor solution, Multipurpose cleaning solution etc. to the CVC. He stated that after the receipt of the complaint, the CVC had sent a letter to him seeking the identity. The envelope containing that letter was superscribed as "Public Interest Disclosure & Protection of Informer Resolution (PIDPI)". In spite of this, the envelope was opened by the then Medical Superintendent because of which his identity and name was unnecessarily revealed. He sought to know whether the confidential letters in favour of any doctor/employee can be opened by the medical superintendent of the hospital and related information. The CIC issued a show cause to the PIO to show-cause why penalty should not be imposed on him for not furnishing the information within the prescribed period and why compensation should not be awarded to the appellant.

Comments

The PIDPI requires the Competent Authority to conceal the identity of the complainant and the documents or information furnished by him, for the purposes of enquiry under this Act. Hence, the officers and staff should be careful about which envelopes to be opened and by whom.
