There is a tendency to look back and not forward. Ultimately empires
rest not so much on their strength as on the servility of the people
over whom they dominate.
Modi's real politics only after Bihar elections
Insiders say that real politics of Prime Minister Narendra Modi will
be seen by the countrymen only after Bihar poll results.
Will Pranab Mukherjee get second term ?
Will Pranab Mukherjee get second term as President of India? Modi's
lavish praise of Pranab Babu at a public function has given rise to
this speculation. His name is already doing the rounds in the corridors
of power.
Abh aap ka kya hoga Laloo ji...
Venue :Porch in Laloo's Patna home
Date and time : 05 November ..7 pm
Laloo: 190....190.....190 ...190..
Me: Laloo ji which Baba has given you this Mantra? Was it the same Tantrik
who smooched Nitish ...aap ko pappi dee aur yeh Mantar bataaya kya...
L: Hudh....I am predicting Mahaghatiyabandhan win on 8th ..
M: Votes cast...are you trying to chant up the votes cast in the sealed
EVMs in favor of Mahaghathbandhan ..
L: Practically all Exit Polls say we are winning...
M: I think many Biharis are so scared of your Goondas that they would
tell every any Surveyor they voted for Mahaghatbandhan.. lest they get
thrashed!
L: Bakwaas ....humm jeet gaye (stands up and does a mock Bhangra)! Arre
Bhagwat ji speaking on Reservation really did it for us!
M: Laloo ji upto education reservation is okay ..but somewhere merit
has to be the criteria. .. say you are ill ...will you go to a Doctor
who you know has become a Doctor courtesy reservation...or a Doctor
who you know has become a Doctor on Merit?
L: Budbak... humm Laloo hai ... humm ko A1 medical attention milta hai
... the question you ask is not valid in my and my family's case!
M: Chalo you have not understood the question..but thank you you have
in a way answered my question.... the gross misuse of Reservation will
soon lead to Professionals on their Visiting Cards adding with Degrees...not
from Reservation quota......why in this election Leaders of your coalition
did not share the stage during rallies!
L: Humm logh spread out ho gaye ... Modi ji ko sambhaalna aasan kaam
nahi hai ...
M: Yes it's not easy to counter Modi ....
but i hear Nitish did not want your past to cast shadow on him... and
both of you did not want Rahul's bumbling image to dent your images!
L:Arre ..nahi ..nahi ..Rahul Baba tho bahut sweet boy hai ... my sons
shared the stage with him!
M: And that may be the reason for their losing ....I hear Rahul has
said in a rally ..that the helicopter Modi travels is made by Congress!
L: (starts guffawing in his indomitable style)... Budbak..
M: Who Rahul....
L: Arre nahi nahi ... I just remembered kissi aur ki baat!
M: Diplomatic kabh se bann gaye?? Misa called Modi ji a Goonda ... isn't
it wrong...she bows and greets him when she meets him.. do your kids
respect elders like this??? Tabh aap ki yeh Diplomacy kaha gayee?
L: Misa aise boll nahi sakthi ...sabh Media ka creation hai ... I am
so upset hearing this .... I will get to the bottom of this ...
M: Chalo at least you accept it's very wrong ...
L: Achcha what do you feel who is winning..
M: Laloo ji if Women and Youth have voted in big numbers you do not
stand a chance...
L: Budbak... if I tell Rabdi to vote for a candidate it's an order ....
this is Bihar....and I know my Vote Bank males are with me!!
M: This is where you are wrong ...a Mother/Wife ...would vote for whoever
changes the conditions for her kids and husband... she knows what will
happen if Goonda Raj returns! Youth too want development ..and so will
not vote for you!
L: Humm Goonda hai kya ....humm LLB kiya hai ... kaam kaanta churri
se kha saktha hoo.. Duniya ghuma hoo...humm please aur sorry bollna
jaanta hoo... (just then a caretaker brings Laloo's Soothsaying cow)...
M: Chalo Laloo ji put one question to your Cow ... is Mahaghatbandhan
winning ...
L: ( patting the cow which moves away).... Aaj kall humm se naraaz hai
..I ask a question and Cow looks the other way..
M: What else did you expect ..you said some Hindus eat Beef... and if
your Cow is feeling so hurt imagine how hurt many Hindus would have
felt..

Next
President ?
Though it is too early to speculate as to who the next
President of India - due in 2017 - would be, what has prompted to ponder
over the likelihood of the candidature for the coveted office almost
two years from now is the circulation of pages like - Lal Krishna Advani
Next President of India - & - Mission 2017 Lal Krishna Adwani President
of India on facebook.
Given the fact that Advanis aspirations to become PM always failed
due to various circumstances in Indian politics which were unfavourable
to him, the BJP may try to compensate that by offering him nomination
for President of India from NDA, and grapevine has it that he has also
been assured about the same after Narendra Modis (s)election for
the post of Prime Minister.
Advani can be said to be one of the strongest candidate for the post,
and perhaps the most likely one too not only because he is one of the
founding Member of the BJP who is still active in Politics but also
seniormost active politicians among big political leaders in India.
But honestly speaking, except Modi no one knows who the next President
of India would be since one thing is certain that he would want to have
some such person as President who would assist him and his acrimony
with Advani is well known. .Who knows he may continue with the incumbent
Pranab Mukherjee !
However in case of any slip between the cup and the lips and incase
Mukherjee - having an excellent rapport with the Prime Minister and
others is not repeated, the other probables could be the present
Lok Sabha Speaker Mrs. Sumitra Mahajan and another BJP veteran Murli
Manohar Joshi.
While Ms. Mahajan apart from having earned goodwill of all also has
the advantage of being a female, Joshi is a Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh
veteran known for his strong Hindu credentials.
Even as US President Barack Obamas slip of the tongue when
he addressed PM Narendra Modi as Mr President might have
raised his aspiration to occupy the palatial Bhawan at Raisina Hill,
but so far Modis turn for the coveted post is concerned, incase
he wishes to be one, would come only after 2024.
During the first luncheon meeting with Mukherjee, in July 2014, after
he took oath as Prime Minister, Modi reportedly evinced keen interest
in seeing the Presidential palace and was thus taken around Rashtrapati
Bhavan by the President's Secretary Omita Paul.
During the visit, Modi also spent some time in the 'Cabinet Room' of
the Palace - , where the interim government headed by Pandit Jawaharlal
Nehru used to meet and Ms Paul explained to him the historical
significance of the place.
(It was this Cabinet Room where Lord Mountbatten had his last meeting
with Nehru, Mohammed Ali Jinnah, B R Ambedkar, Sardar Baldev Singh and
Shyama Prasad Mukherjee before moving to Shimla for signing of the final
Partition plan.)
Modi later also went to Ashoka Hall and Durbar Hall, the museum and
the library before attending the lunch with the President.

Pay parity
Non IAS officers, especially IRS officers do not deserve pay parity
since they don't do any fruitful work and only subordinate officials
do the work and these officers only seem to enjoy both promotions and
perks.

Complicated educational loan
It is understood from banks like HDFC, SBI that to seek educational
loan, following steps are necessary :
a) Educational loan not available on the strength of salary alone,
b) Surety by guarantor having FD or investment in same branch is necessary,
or
c) mortgaging of property with bank,
d) maximum loan limit is Rs 10 lac in case of admission within India
e) It is interesting to note that same bank offers Housing Loan on the
strength of salary.

Report on Uttarakhand CS reappointment
Your report on the Uttarakhand CS reappointment is incorrect and you
must immediately correct it. The central government NEVER denied the
extension request nor did it deny his reappointment. They were mum on
the issue and did not accept or reject it. Per Supreme Court Rule; if
not denied, accepted is even applicable here. Thus, please revise your
wording to note that Center was mum on the issue they neither denied

Information about
educational loans
The appellant sought copies of circulars applicable to the education
loan granted by bank and delivered to the wards of general public.
The Public Information Officer (PIO) informed the appellant that
education loan to the wards of staff was sanctioned on the same
terms and conditions as prescribed for public except a few relaxations.
The PIO further informed that the banks internal guidelines/circulars
as required were of commercial confidence the disclosure of which
would harm the competitive position of the bank, hence exempt
under the provisions of section 8(1)(d) of the RTI Act. During
hearing before the CIC, the appellants representative stated
that the circulars issued by the bank were in the interest of
the customers, disclosure of which may not harm in any way the
competitive position of the bank. The Commission directed the
PIO to provide copy of circulars of 2001 and latest circulars
of 2012 which are issued for disseminating information for grant
of education loan to the ward of the general public to the appellant.
Comments
Educational loans are being increasingly used by students
from various walks of life and it imperative that information
relating to grant of such loans should be suo motu put
in public domain.
