POLITICS

This is History (91)
To the end he retained his early simplicity of tastes.

Modi now trusts Jaitley intellectually
The buzz around is that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has now started trusting Arun Jaitley intellectually.

No if no but ..

After the so called Intelligentia attack,
Now next attack in the stack!

Create strife wherever Congress can!
Create fires and then these fires fan!

They know which buttons to press!
Which 'raw nerve' to compress!!

The intended message is clear!
If not us then live in fear!

The fear is manufactured by Congress!!
And this I must stress!

SC called Mr BlackBerry and Congress's bluff!
Now this is really worrying stuff!

JV tried to implicate Modi via canards!
Used to say Modi going to jail is on the cards!

Now SC has said this was JV to fix Modi!
Pretty deep pit for Modi JV ne thi khodi!

But now JV has fallen into this pit!!
Now at who will JV hit????

If you recall Media too had sided with JV!
You saw this in Newspapers and TV!

And Mr Zero got a pally Judge to fix!
Intended to hit late Mahajan for a six!

Via CBI got a honest Officer fixed too!
What Congress ordered 'Caged Parrot' did do!

Mr. Zero used to say ...'truth will prevail'!
Tell him this now and he will wail!

Now Court has asked CBI to explain!!
Why was truth literally slain!

Maggie is being reintroduced!
Parameters should be introduced!

Be it Quality or Sampling for test!
Yes do ape the West!

Sampling from stocks in Stores!
Not from indoors (Factory or Company stocks)!

Yes our MMS had undervalued our lives!
His undervaluing had given the Nuke Deal hives!!

Indian lives are not cheap at all!
And on this our Government needs to take a call!!

Why not Maharashtra?
The reason could be because Maharashtra state does not find upheavals of political radicalism and Mumbai gives enough opportunities for the officers as also their wards both in terms of education and jobs besides glamorous life at all stages of life. This deters them from moving towards centre as against those who are in tough cadres having deficient attributes of life for their growth and their children. So they are always vying for central or overseas deputations and run better chances for officers as also consequent empanelments.

Bill payments

Only those bills get delayed in Government which are not correct. Some of the vendors are in the habit of submitting exaggerated bills. In an office the Balmer & Lawrie & Co. used to provide tickets for officials tour. It had been noted that the concerned PRO was also using the facility of BL&Co. to arrange for tickets for the private visits of the senior officials. The company used to claim payments of these personal tickets from the office and was to get cleared. There were a number of tickets of the air travel of the PRO but there was no record to substantiate whether the visit was official or personal. In such a situation is it correct to criticize officials who raise queries over the bill?

Delay in payment of final bill

The appellant sought reasons for withholding the payment of final bill after completion of the work even though a period of 5 years elapsed and whether final EOT and RE is approved by General Manager's office signaling clearance of final payment of the bill. The Respondent stated that final payment is under process and the same was already intimated to the appellant. On a query by the Commission as to why the payment is not made to the appellant, Respondent stated that the work was awarded in 2005 for Rs. 2 crores and completed in 2008 but the minor works were pending which was completed in 2009. He further stated most of the payment has been made and now only a lumsum of Rs 10 lakh is due for payment. After hearing both the parties and on perusal of record the Commission directs the respondent to provide revised reply giving complete status along with reasons for withholding the payment to the appellant within one week of receipt of this order under intimation to the Commission.

Comments

For commercial disputes, the contractors are frequently using the RTI Act. The officials should be careful about timely processing of claims and the disposal of the bills.
