RTI applications in MOS&PI getting deaf ears

The officers of ISS are not an exploited lot. The ISS officers in the non-functional grade pay of Rs.10000/-, in the PB-4 Scale of pay, are illegally taking away Rs.7000/- as transportation allowance against the eligibility of Rs.3200/-. Only those officers who are on a regular basis in the grade pay of Rs.10000/-(i.e. Joint Secretary level officers) and are eligible for Staff Car for commuting from office to residence and back are entitled to a Transportation Allowance of Rs.7000/-. A number of RTI application addressed to the Secretary, MOS&PI is getting deaf ears. There seems to be a malafide intention on the part of the MOS&PI. The Department of Personnel & Training had issued clear cut instructions in the month of February, 2014 stating that TAX PAYERS money if paid in excess to a Government employee has to be returned back. Recovery is taking place in the CEA, CWC, CPWD and MES. Recovery should also take place in the ISS and may be some other service.
