IMAGINARY INTERVIEW WITH RAHUL GANDHI

As it's a private visit of RaGa .... I cannot reveal location ....I am passing by a roadside Cafe ....and I see a very recognizable face .... its Rahul sipping Espresso. He sees me and takes out his tongue mockingly at me.

Me: You make Congress so proud. ..making faces at a passerby ...people are seeing you!

Rahul (R): They do not know who I am......so there !!! What are you doing here ..... are you following me???

Me: I have better things to do... here on business....what about you????

R: Private visit !

Me: I feel if anyone has made true use of the word Privacy ..then it's your family!!

R: Yes we are a very Private Family !

Me: And people say Congress is a Private Limited Company.....by the way what is your objection to Yoga???

R: Why not jogging. .. cycling .... why Yoga???

Me: It's an ancient Indian way of staying healthy ...discipline ... and naturopathy...your Great Grand Pa practiced Yoga and your Grand Ma's friend ..philosopher and guide was a Yoga exponent.... or maybe your dislike for Yoga is because of this!!

R: Exercising is a Private thing.....

Me: So then why do you go to gyms .... you go for long runs....

R: We are members of the gym .... its not as if anyone can walk in and see me exercising !! And I am a citizen of India I can run anywhere I want to!!

Me: Well humanity is the biggest Club.... Global Village .... this privacy humbug is just because you guys never thought of such things .....and if you guys would have done something like this ... would have ended up as a scam!! And we are citizens of India so why can't we practice Yoga wherever we want to!!

R: Don't be a bitch ....do not forget MMS who headed UPA is a man whose second name is honesty!!

Me: And today poor fellow's so said honesty has lead to a new analogy of word honest ... dishonest honest ...one who does not object to dishonesty and who gives clean chits to the dishonest! !

R: What he did in the privacy of PMO.....

Me: Oye ..... think ...think.... before you blab.... apart from his family life and his pee pee and poo poo ... nothing that PM does is private ... and if his family life and pee pee and poo poo affect his being PM then these too become public!

R: Make me PM and I will show you guys what private PM means!!

Me: That is what India fears and wants to keep you away from becoming PM..

R: Baloney.... did you see how Nation celebrated my birthday ....

Me: Mr. Private aren't birthdays private ..... and it was not Nation but some Congis who do it ... every year we see them feeding your pic cake !!!

R: That is their love ....

Me: Just like the milk fed to idols goes waste... you recall the stunt when they said some idols drank milk ... so does the cake!! By the way what is this rumor that long time back you faced problems at a US Airport ... I hear The Hindu even reported it here !!

R: Baloney .... it was something to do with my baggage .... it was resolved .... you travel... you too must have faced problems ...Airport staff is so damn rude with private or ordinary people !!

Me: That is not what reports say.... but I see you are do uncomfortable so I will not press for an answer. ... its not the type of weather to break into a sweat.

R: Please leave me alone .... I want to enjoy my privacy ...

< I notice Priyanka and Vadra approaching>

Me: So Mr Private here come Private Didi and Private Jijaji .... where is Private Mummy...enjoy your Privacy .....and here's hoping you soon become a Private Citizen... in the real sense of the word.

DEBATE (1)

It depends on the bureaucrat. I have served consecutively three governments in Madhya Pradesh. I was happy in each government , because I was doing my job, whichever government comes I was following the rule of law.

G S Mathur DGP (Retd)

Empanelment criteria

PM of this country is lucky that the political cadres do not have eligibility criteria for serving at centre. Otherwise he would have been disqualified for serving at centre as he has not done any tenure before and served only the State. Why the Bureaucracy of this conutry is then suffering from this artificial eligibility criteria for empanelment as Secretary / Addl Secretary at centre? If a politician can serve at centre at the top post without ever having served at centre then why only bureaucrats should be differentiated on this ground? Any answers?

Mahadev

Eligibility criteria

The eligibility criteria for selection of chairman & directors made by PESB is meant for some influential. it is just like old wine in new bottle. Govt should change this criteria and invite more honest, sincere and qualified genuine candidates even in the scale of 53,000 to 73,000 with 32 years experience including minimum 5 years experience in production units. scrap the PESB committee. maintain a national integrity in maharani PSU's.

OROP is not a commitment

OROP is not a commitment. It is a legal matter. There is right to equality in the constitution. If Defence Personnel, who have not fought a war since 1971, get it then the civilians are also entitled. Defence people get free ration, house and other facilities. MES is the most corrupt orgnization of the country.

Wrong choice

It is not understood as to why the CBDT chairperson should be holding additional charge as Member(investigation)? Does the department not have other competent persons with integrity? Such a state of affairs will naturally lead to speculation and discredit the department.

It is also noticed that the person who was till now the Advisor on Black Money has become CVC and about whom fingers are being pointed. The critical revenue department of Government of India must have a clean image with no scope for questions.

DATE WITH RTI

The Appellant had a marital dispute with his wife, who worked in the bank as an officer. He had been filing a number of RTI applications, repeatedly seeking information on various issues related to the said bank officer. The Appellant sought the copies of educational certificates of the bank officer claiming that the qualification of his wife has been mentioned as B.Sc, while she did not study science beyond class 10. The PIO denied the same under section 8 (1) (j) of the RTI Act claiming that it was personal information. The CIC referred to the observation of the Apex Court in the Central Board of Secondary Education & Anr. Vs. Aditya Bandopadhyay & Ors."…… if on the request of the employer or official superior or the head of a department, an employee furnishes his personal details and information, to be retained in confidence, the employer, the official superior or departmental head is expected to hold such personal information in confidence as a fiduciary, to be made use of or disclosed only if the employee's conduct or acts are found to be prejudicial to the employer."The CIC upheld the rejection of request for information.

Comments

Many government officials face applications seeking their details of loans taken, marital status, PAN number, income tax details, copies of form 16, details of movable and immovable assets and details of gifts etc. Such harassment of honest officials is not the objective of the RTI Act.
