National parties have no existence in Odisha
Neither the BJP nor the Congress have any presence worth their name in Odisha.

Why BJP MPs are restless ?
At a recently held BJP meeting in Delhi, a party MP was too much vocal about party working and inflation related matters. He wanted to know why prices of daily items were rising continuously. We are finding it difficult to convince the voters. A senior minister reportedly pacified him and asked the member to sit down because PM Modi was also sitting in the meeting. After the meeting many MPs were seen congratulating him. Will party high command read the mood of party men?

Beggars, dogs abound in India

Mr Arun after visiting Malyasia we have suddenly realised that we have too many beggars and stray dogs in our country. I have seen cow loitering in New Delhi streets or sitting comfortably in the middle of the street, and foreigners taking shots after shots at the amazing scene of cows and speeding cars in the capital of India. Mr. Arun in MH&FW probably, he is well aware of the ABC programme, he should take first step in the capital of India and then think about the whole country. Stray dogs don't make the county unclean, it is the humans / citizens of the country who are making the country unclean. I have personally spayed / neutered number of dogs in my locality, when I failed to get any assistance from the so called NGOs at Kolkata, except FRIENDICOS SESA in Delhi. I never got any assistance from the so called NGOs of Animal Welfare. These NGOs should be strictly scrutinized before granting aid from the government. So Mr Arun's comments is just absurd, first make the country 100% literate automatically the whole country will look clean.

Forged age affidavits

Can government take action against forged age affidavits. It is astonishing that many at top level in certain regions produced forged age affidavits at the time of joining in government and in Maharatna PSUs. They passed engineering at the age 16 and graduation at the age 15. But as per kundali it is 22/21 and also as per marriage certificates. They see to it that their children and their grand children get into govt/mahartna PSUs. Many are corrupt also. If any complaint goes they manage. They see that their own kith and kin are in key positions.

Failure of international roaming to work

The appellant had taken international roaming facility from the BSNL but found that the international service failed to work in 8 different countries. On return, he surrendered his instrument and requested the BSNL to investigate why the service did not work and when no reply was received for three months he wrote to them for refunding the entire amount and also claiming token compensation of Rs.1500/- for the harassment and inconvenience caused to him. The Public Information Officer (PIO) informed that there are rules for refund of principal amount within 60 days from the date the service is surrendered but no rules have been prescribed either for payment of interest or for compensation. He informed that a cheque for Rs.4724/- in favour of the appellant was issued. The CIC opined that such a callous and whimsical behaviour on the part of the service provider who deals with the public at large cannot be treated lightly. The CIC directed the PIO to provide copy e-mail exchanged regarding the appellant's complaint of his SIM not working and warned the PIO to exercise due care for future.

Comments

The RTI Act is being used to address the grievances related to the quality of services offered by the PSU's. The PIO should be careful in replying in time and providing the information as available on records.
