Corrupt top PSU bank officials is the root cause of NPA's
NPA's is due to collusion of top bank officials with fraud business
houses and they are hindering the to bring the names of NPA, because
there names are going to be leaked recently one ED & GM of Hyderabad
based PSU bank came to Kolkata have a cocktail party with NPA holders
at 5 star hotel, 400 odd crores is the NPA in this zone
Prasad
Govt. failures
Govt. has not been successful but failed in widening tax net of the
people earning more than 50 lakhs. The figure is 1.5 lakhs but estimated
to be 50 lakhs. There has been no change in numbers officially for the
people in this category. Govt. has not taken much step in this direction.
CBDT is only struggling with small tax payers and interest money. CBDT
does not have data people having cars more than 20 lakhs, people stayed
in five star hotels in last three years, people have undertaken foreign
trips in last three years, people bought jewelleries more than 2 lakhs,
money flowing in the high end areas like film, cricket, real estate,
etc. Apparently from media reports, it looks that RBI Governor is providing
shield to banks in NPA cases. Banks are answerable for their failures
why talk about Bank Bonds. In Punjab Food Grain case why Govt. should
support 12000 crores of money. Banks are trying to convince RBI to do
something for banks. Mallya case has been highlighted to its peak but
names for other defaulters are being kept confidential. In fact RBI
should put complete list of defaulters in public domain ranging from
1 crore and above as it is tax payers money and full transparency should
be maintained. Let everyone to be treated equally. Govt. should do something
to reduce cash flow in the market and demonetisation of higher denomination
currency.

Salary slip of a government employee
The Appellant sought a copy of the salary certificate of her husband
which was denied by the PIO. She alleged that she was mistreated
and turned out of the house of her husband, who sent her legal
notices for mutual divorce later on. She further submitted that
a case concerning the maintenance due to her is pending in a Family
Court and she needed the information in the above context. She
also prayed for imposition of penalty on the PIO for denying the
information and payment of a suitable compensation to her in view
of the fact that in the absence of the information sought by her,
she has not been able to get an appropriate amount of maintenance
from her husband.
The CIC observed that the salary slip would contain not only the
information concerning the gross salary being received by an officer,
but also the various deductions being made which is his personal
information. The CIC directed to provide the information concerning
the gross monthly remuneration received by the officer.
Comments
The case provides the fine distinction
between public and personal information. Readers may recall that
under section 4(1)(b)(x) of the RTI Act, the gross remuneration
paid to an employee is to be disclosed proactively by the public
authority.
