POLITICS

This is History (463)
The poor small nations are always ignored, except those that misbehave.

Why Birla and Sahara are silent ?

The accusation of Rahul Gandhi against PM Narendra Modi of taking kickbacks is hitting the headlines. Truth is known to Birla and Sahara and will they reveal ?

Significance of raid in Tamil Nadu

In a rare case in Indian bureaucracy Tamil Nadu Chief Secretary has been raided by the IT .Now the Tamil Nadu Government is in deep trouble and the political bosses will have to surrender before the Delhi Durbar. Had JayaLalitha been alive, this kind of action would not have been taken.

Who is "UP" in share-market ?

Who is up in the share-market after demonitisation ? Businessmen and a group of bureaucrats were seen discussing on this topic. And the concluson was "None".

Who is the joke on

I'm still in Shimla and today my Respected Friend and yours truly meet on the Ridge ...and we sit on a bench which has a fantabulous view ...and over Desi Espresso Coffee and Chocolate biscuits we get chatting ..
Me: Now Rahul says Modi has been changing decisions on the Demonitisation like he changes clothes..
Respected Friend : That's a grossly subjective view...now an objective one...see there was no precedence of Demonetization on this scale ... then secrecy was paramount because had even a whiff come out ...and mind you Blackeeyas info is A Class and they react immediately ..you would not have found a single 100 Rupee note in circulation ...so planning was impossible ...so I think the decision makers decided ...let's go ahead with Demonetization. ..what we will do is keep our ears to the ground and modify accordingly ...
M: Jee ..zorr ka jhatka dheere se lagge. ..I think the Public realises the Government has reacted very fast to their Demonetization woes....
RF: Yes ...but one Caveat ...seems in some cases the Orders were misconstrued. .like there will be no questions asked ...this was when you Deposit the Notes ...subsequent Investigation was not waived ...then the recent one ...submit reason for late Deposit....which Bank was supposed to take ....actually this was required if there were multi deposits henceforward. ..just a ploy to reduce the last minute rush....
M: I wonder ...does Rahul analyse the advice he gets ...does not seem so...why one Congi on the condition of anonymity told me ...he gets a slip at the last moment and he blurts out whatever is on the slip ..
RF: Yes my perception is his eye is not on the ball ...seems he's a distracted and preoccupied Politician ...
M: I hear Sidhu met Rahul.... why the hell is it being billed as a earthquake kind of meeting ..
RF: If I can be brutally frank ...the National Maskara (Stand up Comedian ) met the National joke ...
M: I think AAP and Congress think that Punjabis are fixated on humor ..that's why both Parties using Jokers!!
M: They will soon realize behind the humorous facade of Punjabis is a Voter who is very aware .. and imagine Kejriwal has already declared if Congress wins Sidhu will be the CM ..not Amrinder ..
RF: Ha ..ha ...then Punjab will not be known for Agriculture ...but Maskara- culture ...
M: Just got a News Alert on my Mobile ... EC has delisted 200 Political Parties...
RF: Yes it was a very lucrative business .....and I'm sure a lot of conversion has been done by these dummy Political Parties ...
M: So Sir shall we move to the Mall...but first today's joke..
RF: Sidhu : Guru.. Rahul Baba ne Kutte ke biscuit mujhe nahi khilaaye,
Aadha packet inno ne Doggy ko diya baaki biscuit packet se meinne khaaye....Thokko thaali....
We have a good laugh and walk down to the Mall..

Demonetization Effects - Major cut down on House hold expenses

The successful implementation of currency demonetization have majorly benefited the house-hold weekly expense with a cut down to 40% on Food bills, Now Peoples are looking for more savings from Electricity bills (using LED) , Petrol & government Taxes. Added advantage will be Reliance's Jio ; a revolution which will make a lot of difference for users (work from anywhere/anytime). Educating and grooming a child is one of the big house-hold expense today in India, should be considered free of cost till high secondary.

Grievance of a railway pass holder

A retired Master Craftsman claimed that despite being eligible for first class pass, the Railways had not been honouring several clauses related to the journey performed by a pass holder. He sought Information regarding rules relating to privilege passes issued to railway employees. The Commission observed that under the provisions of the RTI Act, 2005, only such information as is available and existing and held by the public authority or is under control of the public authority can be provided. The PIO is not supposed to create information that is not a part of the record. He is also not required to interpret information or furnish replies to hypothetical questions. Similarly, redressal of grievance, reasons for non-compliance of rules /contesting the actions of the respondent public authority are outside the purview of the Act. Further, the CIC observed that the appeal relates to the grievance of the retired employee regarding utilization of railway passes and lack of awareness and sensitization of the work force dealing with such matters. This aspect needs to be re-examined by the competent authority to provide relief and succour to the affected retired employees in an objective and transparent manner.

Comments

Even though the redressal of grievance is outside the purview of the RTI Act, it has been frequently used to obtain some relief. The Information Commission has been sympathetic to injustice metered through a system which is not objective or opaque.
