POLITICS

This is History (431)
As the limbs of the empire grew weak and poor, the heart of the empire also grew weak and suffered.

All political parties have same strength in Lok Sabha !

It may sound to be intriguing but it's a fact that the strength of the BJP, the NDA, the UPA and other political parties in the current Lok Sabha is the same, numerologically though. (For this we need to add each figure numerically till the one digit arrives). The Parties Strength, thus, is as follows - BJP - 283 Seats - 2+8+3 = 13 = 4, NDA- 337 Seats - 3+3+7 = 13 = 4, UPA - 58 Seats - 5+8 = 13 = 4 and Others =148 Seats - 1 + 4 + 8 = 13 = 4 .

Why is Baba Ramdev these days appreciating Modi so much ?

People are at a loss to understand that why there is sudden spurt these days in Baba Ramdev's appreciation for Modi ?

They want 'Pappu' PM !

Grapevine has it that perturbed over the manner in which Narendra Modi is functioning, big business houses have decided never to favour any sharp, intelligent and intellectual person as Prime Minister of the country.

Election Commission is tough with Kiran Bedi ?
Pondicherry Governor Kiran Bedi has reportedly been issued a memo by election commission of India for gross violation of model code of conduct during ongoing by election to legislative assembly where Chief Minister Narayanswamy is a candidate. EC is likely to take some drastic action against her. She has been going around announcing new schemes doing transfers and indulging in political publicity oriented activity despite being a political appointee.

Ek Ilaaj Teen Bimaari. ..

In my neighborhood there's an Elderly Gentleman whose wisdom is respected by one and all. He was a Civil Servant and after his retirement he worked for the Corporate Sector as a Consultant. I meet him in the Park near my home and we get chatting.
Me: Sir without a doubt Demonetization is a step that's fantastic for India …..
Elderly Gentleman: Without a doubt… India is the winner…its attacked the three malaises plaguing India …. Black Money… Counterfeiting ….Terror Funding!!! The list of other benefits is indeed long!! And this has got the Opposition in a tizzy….. the other reasons some Parties are in a tizzy because seemingly their Treasure and War Chests have allegedly taken huge hits!!
M: Yes … I feel now Indians feel anyone against this step is a Black Money Holder!!!
EF: I've always felt Mamtha is Honest… but I'm indeed shocked to note she's spearheading the Political Lobby objecting to the Demonetization ….
M: Why is she spearheading the anti Demonetization Lobby if she's honest !!!
EF: Well I think a lot to do with Modi's growing popularity in West Bengal!! This has got her very worried!!! Fact of the matter is ....she knows the Schemes rolled out by Modi are now benefitting people in WB…. and the benefits are going to increase and spread!!! I'm perplexed about the contradictory statements being made by Rahul and Kejriwal … shows they are in a tizzy!!
M: Yes I too noted this …
EF: Like Rahul says Modi informed BJP about Demonetization in advance and then he says … but Jaitley did not know… Jaitley the FM and who would have also given Legal Advice to Modi on this issue…. or maybe two Advisors advised him ..and they were oblivious of each others advice !!!
M: And Kejriwal said….. Modi informed RSS and BJP and then later he said…. both RSS and BJP cursing Modi!!!
EF: And then you have Bhenji saying …. she felt that Jaitley looked sad nowadays!!!
M: Yes there is an immature effort to show the FM of India was precluded from this decision!!! Why…. if you ask me ….it's an effort to create a wedge between Modi and Jaitley….
EF: Yes … it's how they'd react to such a statement if they were in power!!!! They forget Modi and Jaitley are…different!!!
M: I was shocked by the comment made by Akhilesh… that Black Money is a necessary evil!!!
EF: He says he was advised … I think he needs to change his Advisors!!! Papaji won't allow it and they'd be another standoff!!!
M: Anand Sharma said .. that Black Money is racist !!
EF: Stupid comment and even more stupider as he was a Senior Minister in the UPA Government ...or seems as he was ordered to object to Demonization and this was what he could come up with...
M: Say if a quarter of the 500 and 1000 Notes don't turn up in the Banking System (including Post Offices) …that would be a staggering Rs. 3.5 trillion…. what will RBI do????
EF: I think it has to transfer this so said 'Profit' to the Government!!!
M: But isn't the RBI obligated to pay the Bearer of the Notes the Face Value of the Note!!!
EF: If the Notes turn up on the Bank or Post Office Counter… it's the IT that will later look into the deposits and ask question and take action!! So the RBI is honoring its obligation….Banks and Post Offices are not refusing anyone!!
M: So if someone buries the Currency today …. and 25 years later he or his heirs dig it up and take the Currency to the Bank and say they've found this money…. what then?????
EF: Well the Notes have no Expiry Date….. and the RBI Notice does not say …. Demonetized … it says 'Withdrawn'…. I would have to check out this one!!! But do you see Hindi TV Serials…
M: Not at all……. I'm a News and Sports buff…. but why???
EF: I'd expect such a question from a Hindi TV Serial Buff …. wherein…. things and people disappear in say Episodes 4 and 8 and reappear in Episodes 546 and 700!!!
M: I think with the 500 and 1000 Currency Ban … Modi should also Ban these Hindi TV Serials continuing to 500 and 1000 Episodes!!!

Why Rs 2000 notes instead of Rs 1000 note ?

Everyone is questioning why Rs 2000 notes were brought in to replace Rs 1000 notes. I am not an economist to understand this, but as a layman I think this is a very wise decision of Modi Government. I will try to give a reason for this below:
Lets say Mr X, for example, has Rs 100,000 black money in Rs 1,000 note. Mr X divides those Rs 100,000 into 10 equal bundles, each comprising of 10 old notes of Rs 1,000 each and puts each. On Day-1, in the morning Mr X deposits the first bundle i.e. 10 old notes of Rs 1,000 valued at Rs 10,000 into the bank and on the same day withdraws 10 new notes of Rs. 1,000 valued again at Rs 10,000.On Day-2 morning Mr X deposits the second bundle of 10 old notes of Rs. 1000 valued at Rs. 10,000 and on the same day withdraws 10 new notes of Rs. 1,000. He does it daily for 10 days like this and by the end of 10 days he will have Rs 100,000 in new notes and he will say to Income Tax Department that he had only Rs 10,000 as black money. He will say that he rotated the same Rs. 10,000 by depositing into Bank account and withdrawing it in the evening. He can very well show that he had deposited 10 notes of old Rs 1,000 notes and withdrew 10 new notes of Rs. 1,000. If Income Tax Department scrutinizes his statements, the pay-in-slip will mention 10 notes every time. But since Rs. 2,000 new notes have been brought in, he cannot do the above to convert his black money because he cannot say that he deposited same Rs. 10,000 which he withdrew a day before. He will have to mention in his pay-in-slip that he deposited 5 notes of Rs. 2,000.This is the logic I understood of the Government's action to bring in Rs 2,000 notes instead of Rs. 1,000 notes at this moment.

Functioning of govt departments unchanged

The functioning of the government departments has not changed with the change in law. Most of the people continue to work with a mindset which is against transparency. The do not want to be questioned and prefer not to own any responsibility for their conduct. 2. Permanent Technical Advisor in Ministries - MASTERSTROKE for DIGITAL INDIA.

A good move .. the Post of Technical Advisor in line with Economic Advisor is the need of hour in all ministries. A designated officer is required to handle all technical issues ranging from the ICT infrastructure inside the Ministry and department to application level issues. it will include the establishment , monitoring and evaluation of all e-services running within department to the day to day ICT requirement within the organization.

For example the Technical officer sitting in DOT may plan for centralized ICT for GPF management for both DOT and DOP so that Account office need not to maintain server at individual office level. it will ensure transparency also, The GPF subscribers will be able to access their GPF record at any time like their bank statement at any point of time and place. The GPF accoutn officer will be given access rights as per the subscription list in his office. On transfer posting there will be no physical GPF ledger moment. All advances withdrawal can be effectively monitored through it.
Like this there can be several .. thousands requirements which we can this carry out through the technical Advisor inside a department.

The MODI Govt may use it a as MASTERSTROKE for DIGITAL INDIA.
