Luncheon with an ex diehard Congi ...
I'm at the Habitat Centre for lunch with a friend who used to be a diehard
Congress supporter , however now he's 'more like on the fence... politically'.
After the pleasantries we get down to current issues.
Me: Why the hell hasn't Congress binned what Diggy has said on the
surgical Strikes ... Congress has binned Nirupam's statement. .
Friend: Arre some of Diggy's statements are aimed internally ..this
one at MMS... arre yeh Congress hai ..kahi pe nigaahe kahee pe nishaana
kahee aur pe hotha hai golli ka tikhaana!!
M: Samjha nahi..
F: You recall in the latter part of UPA 2 ....Diggy had said ..there
are two power Centres ... MMS and 10 Janpath. MMS had tacitly used threat
of Hostilities to black Sonia's move to make him President and Rahul
PM...that's why Rahul had slighted MMS!!!
M: Did not know this....but Sonia knows that the Surgical Strikes did
take place .......
F: Wait ... wait .... I know what you are going to say... but believe
me the orders to Nirupam did not come from Sonia ..but from another
power centre in Gandhi family!! As for Diggy he's a Gandhi family weathercock!!
M: Saw a pic of Sonia ...she had an arm sling ...so she's going to be
active again ....
F: Has to ....only she can keep power famined ...factured... beleaguered.
.Congress together!! Rahul toh ..not many take him seriously ..he's
a Baba for them...
M: But what sahaara will Congress take to survive ... because today
Modi has flattened them out on most issues... even their favorite one
.. Gareebi Hatao!!
F: Caste and religion ...Congress's tried and trusted issues ....also
add some regionalism ..and of course plenty and plenty of Vitamin M
...has an unlimited supply. .
M: I hear in UP, Congress's election advisor has told Congress it's
condition in UP is dismal...
F: Yes and I hear his Budget has been slashed... but Ummeed pe kaayam
hai Duniya.... to stay relevant they have to put up a fight ...my own
prediction is below 10 seats...
M: The Morale in Congress must be sub zero...
F: Has to be ... with no future Leadership in sight ...and now they've
started to ignore Rahul's stunts ...like the Khaat Sabhas in UP ...
one Congi was joking ...he's in the process of putting Congress to sleep!!!
But now Rahul has company ...
M: Who .... who ...
F: Kejriwal ...don't you note Kejriwal now sounds and behaves more and
more like Rahul... he too hears voices ...he too has ludicrous theories
....he too indulges in dramas...
M: Rahul has ludicrous theories ...
F: Arre for an insight you have to really get to know one of his Young
Brigade members .... they joke on the side ...none of us can ever go
into depression as long as we are with Rahul...

Greatest absurdity
It is being stated that surgical strikes were carried out earlier also
in 2011, 2013 and 2014. At the same time proof is being sought by some
leaders of the surgical strikes by the army in 2016. Why did these same
leaders not give tapes and proof of the earlier strikes when they were
in power ? Asking for proof of military action is the greatest absurdity
one has heard of. Next our leaders will ask for public discussion on
the intelligence activities of the forces! No nation discloses or debates
such issues publicly.

Shame on them !
It is disgusting how our so called netas do not hesitate to undermine
their country for their own political interest. For them is not the
grief of the families of our soldiers killed by the rogue elements of
Pakistan. The regular flow of coffins of jawans and officers of army
and those of paramilitary forces CRPF and BSF dying in terrorists' attack
sponsored by Pakistan do not stir their conscience. They are more bothered
to see that their vote bank does not get eroded. Government has to be
opposed even if it does good work. What else does explain the conduct
of Arvind Kejriwal, Sanjay Nirupam and others including one who had
been the ex-home minister of the country once. These worthies have been
lauded by Pakistan media by questioning the surgical strike of Army
on 29th September. Pakistan got the chance to say 'look what we are
saying is corroborated by Indian politicians'. At a time when our armed
forces are facing a very challenging situation, the statements made
by these netas are not only irresponsible and insensitive but antinational.
While Pakistan P.M says his army is ready for 'jung' and the entire
Pakistan is with them, here are our people questioning our army. Shame
on them !

Multiple RTI Applications seeking huge information
The applicant sought huge information pertaining to Income Tax
offices. He also wanted to know the basis of conducting survey
and search and the specific steps taken to stop tax evasion during
the financial year 2013-14 etc. The PIO submitted that the appellant
has filed as many as 30 appeals before the Central Information
Commission seeking all and sundry information and despite heavy
pressure they have made strenuous efforts to provide the information.
He further stated that much of the information sought by the appellant
is in the public domain and can be accessed by visiting the department's
website www.incometaxindia.in. The appellant stated that he had
lodged a TEP against a medical store in early 2015 and wants to
know what action has been taken by the department. He further
stated that he wants a copy of the scheme for payment of award
to informants. He also requested for a note explaining the method
adopted by the Income Tax Department for assessment and scrutiny.
The PIO stated that he will supply the information as requested
above by the appellant. The CIC observed that once a certain information
is placed in the public domain accessible to the citizens either
freely, or on payment of a predetermined price, that information
cannot be said to be 'held' or 'under the control of' the public
authority and, thus would cease to be an information accessible
under the RTI Act. The Commission hoped the appellant will take
a careful note of the above judicial observations and refrain
from filing frivolous RTI applications in future.
Comments
Whenever one is seeking information under the RTI Act, the RTI
Application should be focused and specific. Asking for voluminous
information through multiple applications may lead to a charge
of abuse of the process of law.
