POLITICS

This is History (384)
England with her wealth and empire was more or less a satisfied Power; not wholly so, because the imperialist instinct is never satisfied with any frontier and always wants to expand.

India's external debt stock stood at US$ 485.6 billion at end-March 2016, increasing by US$ 10.6 billion (2.2 per cent) over the level at end-March 2015.The rise in external debt was due to the rise in long-term debt particularly NRI deposits.

Prevention is the answer ..finally corrected please

India will move it's might to the Border!!
To handle any possible disorder!!

And then the surgical strike will be put in place !!
Tit for Tat Pakis will soon face !!

As we talk about how we will teach Pakis a lesson,
We must also discuss measures so that such attacks drastically lessen!!

Prevention is better than reacting/enduring!!
Our weak surveillance measures are in fact luring!!

Navy and Air Force have tightened security!
But Army has not and that's a peculiarity!!

Because Army is where the action is!!
This aspect Army seems to miss!

Field deployments need reorganisation!!
At present movement is like that of a private organization!!

The olden concept of Fortress needs to brought back!!
Would dramatically lessen chances of an attack!!

The surveillance of the Fortress's Perimeter needs to be the best!!!
Today's security measures would miserably fail any test!!

And technologies exist!!
Max I think the Israelis can assist!!

All possible dimensions should be taken care of!!
Yes at the costs some would scoff!!

But when you consider the saving these measures will do!!
At the cost no objective person would boo!!

Two US Congressmen have introduced a Bill!!
For Pakis a bitter pill!!

Osama was harbored here!!
And now the Haqqani network is there!

They want Pakistan to be declared as a Terrorism Sponsor!!
Pakis will term this as a above shoulder bouncer!!

Derr se aaye parr durrust aaye!!
Informally waise bhi Pakistan ko Rogue Nation US bhi bullaye!?

Rahul Baba feels Kashmir needs a long term plan!!
He forgets for decades this opportunity was given to his Clan!!

But they failed miserably!!
And now Rahul is worried because he feels Modi will handle it ably!!

Rahul Baba India has borne your Clan for years!!
And now your Clan's coming back is one of Indian's biggest fears!!

GoI should employ retired officers in remote and backward districts

GoI should consider employing these retired officers for working in remote and backward districts of the country. They should utilise their experience and contacts to improve the functioning of various field offices including the Police in the district which are in bad shape .Since these officers will be getting adequate pension ,they may be paid a small allowance and a small flat(furnished) to live.
Let us then see how many of them would be interested !!!

Delhi is reeling under Dengue and Chikugunya.

(Mixed metaphors be forgiven) Rome is burning for the last two months or so. The fiddle of Nero is yet to become idle.
Maybe Dengue will prove to be Arvind Kejriwal's waterloo.
Insensitiveness might render the mandate of any democratic Nero null.
Nobody forgave Nero in their minds and hearts. This is what is in store for modern day Neros as well.
A K Singh

Let President's Rule be declared in Delhi

In response to Ashok Menon's suggestion that President's Rule be declared in Delhi because of Chikungunya and Dengue threat will not, in my opinion, be a right step. This will also give a stick to the opposition to beat the BJP for this action. My suggestion, on the contrary, is that the Central Government should take over the Health Department of Delhi Government and do all the needful to contain the spread of diseases like Chikungunya, Dengue, etc.
Pradeep

Just some WHYs

Why d same officials who quote govt. rules while in service, deliver against the same rules when appointed to various Tribunals and Commissions.
WHY cant d Service officers let go of Free rations when they r being paid so handsomely. Do they really need it.
WHY don't any heads roll inspite of a total abdication of responsibility in Uri.
WHY do officers need perks like newspaper and hospitality allowance.
Why does DoP&T use a lingo that nobody can understand.
WHY should Hindi need a pakhwada when it is our Rajbhasha. And finally WHY should we all not be ashamed of our incompetence and lethargy in the light of myriad problems facing the country and we blaming the Govt. only for all the ills without contributing anything.

Routine transfer of RTI Application from head office

An application was under the RTI Act seeking certain information about termination of dealership. The appellant prayed for imposition of penalty under Section 20 (1) of the RTI Act and sought compensation alleging that the custodian of the information transferred the application to the Guwahati office. The CIC observed that the somewhat confused replies appear to have been the result of the system of dealing with the RTI applications filed to the Head Office, under which such applications are apparently sent in the first instance to the concerned state office even before checking whether the information in question is available with any of the departments at the Head Office. The CIC held that the Respondents need to streamline the system to ensure that the applications that can be disposed of at the Head Office are not sent needlessly to the state offices. Further, since malafide intent on the part of the Respondents was not established, no action was directed against the PIO under Section 20. Furthermore, as the Appellant did establish any loss or detriment caused to him because of the replies of the Respondents to his RTI application, he was not entitled to get the information.

Comments

In many public authorities, the complete RTI Application is routinely transferred to multiple subordinate offices without proper examination as to which office holds the information. Such a practice leads to delay and an unnecessary paper work which the officials should steer clear of.
