POLITICS
This is History (387)
One country seemed to challenge the British Empire, and this was Tsarist
Russia, backward Russia, but on the map still a great country.
Is the meeting sign of dissidence
In the absence of chief minister Rajasthan , few ministers and MLA s
cobbled up together in a five star hotel. They are unhappy with the
government as the benefits of contracts are enjoyed by the few. Any
dissidence on the way ?
When NSA Doval and former NSA Narayanan met !
NSA of the present NDA Government Ajit Doval and powerful NSA during
the UPA government M K Narayanan had a chance meeting on Saturday at
a function of the Intelligence Bureau. And there was neither "Hello"
nor any kind of dialogue.
What people say !
"We are lucky to be under the umbrella of a strong man like Narendra
Modi".
Yeh hai Modi ka India ...
I take the 5.13 pm Borivili Fast and when I enter my usual compartment
I find my three traveling Buddies enjoying Veg Patties and Tea. Amar
offers me my share.
Amar: Mota Bhai late ho gaye ..
Me: Yes ..the was a Flash Mob near the entry ...they were shouting anti
Pak slogans.
Akbar: Gross overreaction
...even after 26/11 there was not such
a reaction as is now after the killing of 18 soldiers in Uri...
Amar: Miya ji piyaala bhar gaya hai ...abh toh overflow karr raha hai
...
Antony : We must react like a civilized Society ...now why are there
demands for Pakistani artistes to return toPakistan. ..should Countries
stop giving Visas to Indians because of the killing of rationalists
and meat eaters ???
Me: Well for one those are domestic law and order issues ...but the
killing of Indian Soldiers is like an attack on a Nation... I think
Nations know the difference
..and you have seen how Nations have
rallied behind India. And these Paki Artistes had condemned the attack
in Nice but on Uri they are ek dumm chup! Why????
Amar: And I hear Zindagi which is owned by Z is discontinuing the Paki
Plays it shows ..
Akbar: Na insaafi hai ....now many Indians are demanding war ....why
...
Me: First like I said the cup of vow and revenge over floweth. ... but
I don't think there are any plans to attack Pak and start a war. India
will do its best to isolate Pakistan Globally. Yes a tacit message too
has gone toPakistan
one more such attack and Pakistan will be
responsible for its annihilation.
Akbar: But they too have Nuclear Weapons
and then China is with
them so how can they be isolated.
Amar: Toh
compare our sizes
.. like Doval has said
some time back
. okay we will suffer casualties too but part of
India will survive but there will be no Pakistan. As for China ....
China has clamped down on Islamic Forces within China ... and Chinese
only understand language of money ..check out the Trade betweenChina
and Pakistan and China and India ...already there is news China is distancing
itself...
Me: You think Pakis don't know this
of course they do
but
they use their Nuclear status to threaten us
. there is a thought
process behind this
it's the mindset of a Nation that's hit rock
bottom
sanam humm toh doobe hai aap ko bhi dooboye ge.
Amar: But Motta Bhai India has to show them a trailer
otherwise
they will feel it's business as usual
till now this has been going
on
they attack us and kill Indians and we don't react.
Me: Who knows India may take out certain individuals who are Globally
Wanted for Terror
. surgically. ButIndia will not harm innocent
Pakistanis.
Akbar: We are peace loving people
we should let bygones be bygones.
Amar: When it comes to taking out Global Terrorists no territory is
sanctimonious.
Antony: Concentrate on development.
Me: Modi in his speech in Kerala has addressed the Pakistanis and said
that its time they asked their Leaders to stop using K as a lollipop
and diverting attention from the problems that plague Pakistan. In fact
he's thrown a gauntlet
. if Pakis want to compete with India then
why not have a 'poverty eradication' race????
Amar: Arre Mota Bhai but when every now and then 'family members' are
killed how can the family think of prosperity?????
Akbar: And why did Modi speak on Balochistan
. Congress says it's
wrong!!
Amar: Arre kiss ka naam leh liya
.. most of our woes today are
because of Congress!!! Jee ha after Modi took Balochistan name Pakis
ko bahut mirchi laghi hai!!! It's a masterstroke
.. you talk of
K see what you are doing in Balochistan
.
Antony: All of a sudden India has turned hawkish
I liked the old
India!!!
Amar: Achchaa you liked the India which turned the other cheek
Congress ne toh humme 'Tommy' banaa diya tha
..yeh hai Modi ka
India
. Na darthe hai na daraathe hai
na kissi ko laath maarthe
hai aur na kissi se laath khaathe hai!!!

Dalits in India are today a very strong force
The condition of our Dalit bretheren is the subject of many a news item
these days.
Dalits in India are today a very strong force. They are well educated
and organised and are forging ahead in politics, administration education,
medicine, engineering, you name it! Dalit MPs and MLAs abound. Third
generation IAS officers are common in Dalits. Most Dalits from South
India convert to Christianity after availing of reservation benefits,
hence many people are not aware of their numbers.
Our Dalit bretheren have held and are holding the top posts in the
country like President of India, Chief Justice of India, Speaker of
the Lok Sabha, Deputy Prime Minister, Cabinet Ministers, Chief Ministers,
Governors, High Court Judges etc. Of course, their numbers in the IAS
are second to none. This year's IAS topper happens to be a Dalit sister.
Dalit Chamber of Commerce and Dalit businessmen are heralding a new
dawn inIndia. No political party can afford to neglect our Dalit bretheren.
They are a potent force.
It is also a matter of great pride that PM Modi has taken up the cause
of our Dalit bretheren with such zeal. Under his leadership, our Dalit
bretheren are bound to flourish further.

Multiple RTI Applications seeking huge information
The applicant sought huge information pertaining to Income Tax
offices. He also wanted to know the basis of conducting survey
and search and the specific steps taken to stop tax evasion during
the financial year 2013-14 etc. The PIO submitted that the appellant
has filed as many as 30 appeals before the Central Information
Commission seeking all and sundry information and despite heavy
pressure they have made strenuous efforts to provide the information.
He further stated that much of the information sought by the appellant
is in the public domain and can be accessed by visiting the department's
website www.incometaxindia.in. The appellant stated that he had
lodged a TEP against a medical store in early 2015 and wants to
know what action has been taken by the department. He further
stated that he wants a copy of the scheme for payment of award
to informants. He also requested for a note explaining the method
adopted by the Income Tax Department for assessment and scrutiny.
The PIO stated that he will supply the information as requested
above by the appellant. The CIC observed that once a certain information
is placed in the public domain accessible to the citizens either
freely, or on payment of a predetermined price, that information
cannot be said to be 'held' or 'under the control of' the public
authority and, thus would cease to be an information accessible
under the RTI Act. The Commission hoped the appellant will take
a careful note of the above judicial observations and refrain
from filing frivolous RTI applications in future.
Comments
Whenever one is seeking information under the RTI Act, the RTI
Application should be focused and specific. Asking for voluminous
information through multiple applications may lead to a charge
of abuse of the process of law.
