Imaginary Chat with Mallya
I'm in Delhi's T3 Premium Plaza Lounge....taking a flight to London. All of a sudden there is a lot of commotion and in walks Vijay Mallya with a female companion in tow and a retinue of Jet Employees.

He takes a seat near me...chatting distance ...

Vijay Mallya: (to his female companion) ... You got any sleeping pills .... knock me out Man (she replies in the negative)... (addressing me).. Sardarji any sleeping pills on you..
Me: Naaa... and Boss in your condition I would not advice you to take sleeping pills... let's chat ...
V: I know what you will chat about ... all are chatting about me today. .. but challo... let's do it ...
M: You running away ...
V: (giving a hurt look)..No way man ..I'm a international businessman ...just flying out on business...
M: Must be last minute business... because I just heard the Staff whisper to each other ...." Mallya just booked his ticket to London and he's coming"...
V: Baloney Man...baloney ...
M: Why did you not fly out on one of your own planes...
V: Both the pilots oddly were "happy" today...
Female Companion: Viju you told me to remind you to have it checked out if they got happy at a party thrown by ex KF employees to celebrate your problems...
V: Shhhh...
M: The Staff were also whispering that you checked in 11 bags... they beckoned some staff from the Lounge to help out..
V: So... I travel heavy..
M: One bag must be full of your accessories ...like goggles ...belts etc..
V: That's my business ...
M: One bag with your IPL and Formula 1 togs...
V: Could be ...
M: One bag full of IOUs...
V: No comments...
M: Your Black Book (contacts)...yours would be in Ledgers ...
V: Could be ... could be ..
M: Your KF Calendars ...
V: Ha...ha ..ha ...ha
M: Why did you threaten Media .." I have details of the favours some took from me".... simply not done...
V: All is fair in.....
M: You've declared war on the Media..
V: Could be ...
M: I just read on Twitter ..there is a rumour you are on your way to Switzerland for the Grand Prix... if so you are the coolest guy ...imagine all the tension and pressure and still you are following your passion..
V: Sports is in my blood ...
M: So in London can we expect a Indian type IPL..BPL..
V: Brit Premiere League ..sports and money ..my kind of blend.
M: Spoken like a Sporting Liquor Baron...but then this means you will meet Lalit Modi ...
V: There's no ban on meeting him..
M: Because if you are meeting him for BPL then on Twitter many are deciphering it as ... Bhagoda Premiere League ...

Babaism has endured
Hardly any day passes when any godman, godwoman, swami or Baba does not make prominent presence in any activity, where it is conspicuously noticeable that the government was playing second fiddle to the personal and not conforming to the rules role of them. For the last about half a century, the Babas have been playing prominent roles in the power game of politics. The names of Dhirendra Brahmchari in Indira's regime and Chandraswami in Narsimha Rao's regime are fresh in people's memory. The ignominious arrest of the once upon a time beloved of millions, Bapu Asa Ram, and another one in Haryana, brought the true faces of some Baba's before their gullible but staunch followers. Babas and Swamis know the knack of jumping in any movement, which has the potential to bring instant publicity. In the modern Indian history, the movement against corruption led by Anna Hazare, voicing for legislation of Lokpal, has been perhaps, the most deceptive and misleading ,which resulted in nothingness. The heroes of the movement were swayed by the wrong perceptions and notions that it was supported by the masses. Actually, it was supported by the then anti-government Babas and aspirants to the political power. Where is the Lokpal ? What happened to the movement, when it was shifted to Mumbai from Delhi ? The government has become pint-sized in front of the godmen and the corporates. Providing Z-plus security to them and also providing state security to their establishments, involving Army in facilitating their circuses like self promoting programmes, is going to doom the nation. Not very long ago, Asa Ram's medicines and other products used to be sold across the nation and now Ramdev and Haryana Dera has got lead in the matter. Ramdev's products have found place in the Indian Post offices ,where the department have opened small outlets for the purpose. The politicians are concerned only with the votes for sustenance in power. It is convenient for them to approach one godman to fetch thousands and lacs of votes, though nation's interests have to be made subordinate to godman's interests, and the bargain is good for the politician. Here is a small anecdote. There was a very n Principal Secretary in the state government. He was one of the most corrupt, inefficient, arrogant, insolent and heartless negative fellows. Normally such officers are liked by the subordinates, but incidentally he was universally hated. After his superannuation he stated the classes of Art of Living. When his subordinates came to know of it, they would often say, ''It is better to die than to live the way Mr .....was teaching''. I do not know how long Birla, Tatas, Ambanis, Adanis will have to wait to produce their own branded Babas to oust the Babas, who have ventured into their territory.

JNU (Jawahar?)

What will be the fate of a society whose university professors misguide their students rather than guiding them properly? If the academicians are ill educated themselves, they fail their students. University teachers can't substitute scholarship by their narrow personal views, prejudices, bias and partisan opinions. They have to be neutral, fair & just, without vitiating the purity of knowledge. They can't act like trainers of a particular political party. How do the JNU professors measure on this scale ?
