What people say about us!
It's a very informative and useful site which I have been religiously
following throughout my career. I have superannuated recently and feel
that this site can also be made more useful and relevant to retired
officers by providing some information on post retirement opportunities,
placements etc.

Jeetha rahe RaGa....
My Chemist has very strong views.. and is vociferous and very street
smart ..the other day I dropped in to buy medicines and he started expressing
his views..
Chemist: Mandir abh nahi banaayege toh kabh banaayege...
Me: Achcha because there is a BJP Government ..
C: Mughals ruled us and broke our Mandirs.... Christians ruled us and
tried to sway us away from Mandirs. ..Pseudos ruled us and treated places
of worship of Muslims and Christians as holy ground and Mandirs as places
of mischief......now there is a Hindu Government ..if not now then when...
M: But BJP has said Mandir can only be made via concensus or Courts..
C: So try to build concensus ... do you see or hear anything ..no. Arre
Ayodhaya is our Mecca... give them land elsewhere and even build a mosque
for them...
M: Muslims are worried that if they agree... post Ayodhaya, Hindus will
demand other mosques to give way for Mandirs... after all their ancestors
had been on a Mandir demolition binge ..
C: So get Hindus to come up with an assurance ... get your 'Mecca' ...that
is paramount ...achcha when Muslims ruled they enforced Farsi and Urdu
...Brits enforced English. .. Pseudos put all the languages on Currency
and played down Mother Tongue ...what language do majority of Indians
speak ....Hindi...so Mother Tongue of the Nation is Hindi..
M: This will cause heartburn in some regions ...
C: Arre they should learn Hindi in the initial stages and then in say
6th standard there should be option to study Hindi or any other language
..why if the school can provide ..why not Chinese ...the base has been
made......by the way what is Owaisi's problem with Bharat Mata ki jai
....
M: He says as Muslims they cannot chant praise of an idol...but then
they can say Maadar e Wattan Bharat or Hindustan ki jai...
C: He will find some excuse to say no to this too... he is pandering
to his constituency. .the constituency that applauded his Brother when
he said.. give us 15 minutes and we will teach Hindus a lesson..
M: What's your take on Mallya???
C: Sir ji yeh Mallya ko consultant banao..so that he can teach our Bankers
... what they should not do while considering loan proposals !!!
M: Arre if in your EMI you pay Rs 10 less Banks will send you a stinker
first bordering on threats and then a threatening letter....
C: Jee ha Mallya toh inn ka Jamai Raja tha... imagine valuing Brand
Kingfisher ...doobthe jahaaj ki brand value ...ha ha ....ya toh yeh
corruption ka case hai ya humaare Bank waale duffer hai...
M: Rahul ke baare kuch nahi bollo ge kya.....
C: Jeetha rahe .. Congress ki agwaayee karta rahe ... 2019 mein inn
ko 19 seat mille gi...Rahul pe mujhe full bharosa hai...

"Modi has no parallel"
-Prime Minister Narendra Modi who till a little less than two years
ago was beloved of the majority might be losing charm in the opinion
of some people but the question is that does any one else including
his opponents - Rahul, Mulayam or Lalu - have any charm ?
This question came up in the wake of response of the surfers of whispersinthecorridors.com
who were asked - "Is PM Narendra Modi losing his charm ? Is he
a changed man ?" While some replied in the affirmative, majority
did not agree and some of them even asked who else among Indian politicians
can stand parallel to him and suggested 'to see the things in the right
perspective'.

WCF was a total fiasco
I fully agree with the views that the WCF was a total fiasco. It had
served no purpose neither spiritual nor cultural. It only augmented
the harassment of common citizens of Delhi. What cultural enjoyment
or benefit could have been extracted from the Mega Show when it was
not visible to common people other than the great persons sitting on
the Jumbo Stage. Even the speeches by various saint lacked spiritual
content and substance. AOL has done an unprofessional work of event
management. This is only what can be best said about the whole event.

Fraudulent surrender of LIC Policy
The Appellant took a health plus policy. She learnt that her policy
was surrendered without her knowledge on the basis of her forged
signatures on the policy and the amount was used for taking two
new policies by her mother-in-law. She complained to LIC and got
an FIR registered at Meerut. The LIC informed her that they had
sought the explanation of the agent concerned. She asked for a
copy of this explanation of the LIC agent under RTI which was
denied to her. She argued that the information sought related
to her and therefore, she was not a third party and had a right
to get a copy of the explanation. LIC stated that on the basis
of a complaint, they had paid the amount along with interest to
the appellant and redressed her grievance. The copy of the explanation
submitted by the agent was denied claiming it to be personal information
related to the agency. Relying on the Apex Court judgment in Girish
Ramchandra Deshpande case, the CIC upheld the denial of information
Comments
The appellant was able to get back the amount with interest due
to the pressure created by RTI application. It is a mute question
whether an explanation of the LIC agent in respect of alleged
fraud committed in respect of a client can be called as a third
party information.
