Bhai Hit Wicket kyon karr raha hai...

Travelling back home from Churchgate with my Train Buddies. Today Akbar has brought ...spicy Bhel Puri and Maaza. It's aSunday but we were all working this Sunday.

Amar: Yeh Jaitley ko kya ho gaya.... lagtha hai iss ka aur PPF.. EPF. ..NSC. .. Kisan Vikas Patra..ka chathees ka aankda hai...

Akbar: Seems he's been advised to add the tax exemption to the interest rate ...so he feels the total interest is spectacular ..

Antony: These Investments ....especially PPF abd EPF are like a safety net for the tax payer ...in a Nation where there is no Social Security..

Amar: Jaitley ko koun samjhaye...seems he's in a competition with his friend Chiddy... you could not cut interest rates on these investments and I have ... he refuses to differentiate between income and tax saved...

Me: They did not pass over fall in fuel prices... levied Cess... increased service tax ...now fall in interest rates.. Jaitley would be mistaken if he thinks we are bearing it all because he's at the helm.... we are bearing it because with Modi at the helm there is no stench of corruption... feeling is our money being put to good use ...but there is a limit ..after all we are selfish.. we are human..

Amar: Pann Seth limit che ...sometimes it feels good if they put us at the top... after all we are India ..achchaa... in the Stock Markets there are rumours that 2 more defaults are ripe...

Amar: What we need is a White Paper in Corporate Debt.... the Markets would fall by 1000 points the day this is proposed....

Antony: I hear Mallya is dividing time between his Lawyers and Pubs ...

Akbar: He's Lawyering and Pubbing ...

Me: I think a person who has seen poverty is sensitive to poverty like Modi... Jaitley would not understand what Rs 1000 means to Lower Middle Class and below...I know I too have heard rumours about 2 more ripened Defaulters and then there are some that are grossly overstretched on Debt...

Antony: When prices of fuels rise and the rise is passed over to us there is going to be bitterness .. when prices fell they did not pass benefit to us and now when prices are rising they are passing rise to us..

Akbar: Seems Jaitley is too fixated on Deficit ... he wants to be remembered as the FM who controlled deficit and brought interest rates down..

Me: Modi is politically savvy and I am sure he will draw a balance ....

Amar: What a match last night ...

Akbar: In my area they burst crackers late into the night. ..

Me: I think we understand the language of cricket better ...

Antony... Didn't understand ..

Me: Like if you want to make cricket buff Jaitley understand the current scenario for him ....all these stringent measures are making him and Government unpopular .. just tell him.. Bhai hit wicket kyon karr raha hai...

"Modi has no parallel"
-Prime Minister Narendra Modi who till a little less than two years ago was beloved of the majority might be losing charm in the opinion of some people but the question is that does any one else including his opponents - Rahul, Mulayam or Lalu - have any charm ?
This question came up in the wake of response of the surfers of whispersinthecorridors.com who were asked - "Is PM Narendra Modi losing his charm ? Is he a changed man ?" While some replied in the affirmative, majority did not agree and some of them even asked who else among Indian politicians can stand parallel to him and suggested 'to see the things in the right perspective'.

All free distribution be banned
Respected Modi Ji, in my view all the free distribution of water, power, laptops and other articles be banned by some act of the Parliament. That money be spent on free education, health and medicine, infrastructure development etc. with that general public will be get benefit. In Delhi The CM, Mr. Kejriwal has allowed free water 20,000 lts per month to all the residents though that may be utilized or wasted as it has no value for them. Similarly, power in many states being distributed free whosoever he may be , may be big landlord with hundreds of acre of land with him and power is used for his household purpose and than the state approach for aid or grants to the center. Recently it was stated in the news papers that Punjab has distributed power worth Rs.40,000 crores in the last 9 years. It is hones taxpayer money which is being used for all these freebies with the result every year the demands increasing in thousand of crores. Similarly, reservation should be based only for economically deserving persons and not for all who are enjoying its fruits for the last 60 years and even after that their families are entitled for the same. All have just seen that state of Haryana faced the Jat Reservation and by those who are landlords with acres of land moving around in luxurious cars, with tractors with them and living in palatial houses. All these be forth with banned in the country in association with all the parties. Otherwise tomorrow every community will stand up for freebies and reservation. With regards to the Prime Minister
R K Garg

Uncalled for interferenc
e
It is the prerogative of a CM to request for an extension for a CS and it is up to the GoI to accept it or not. It is surprising that people who have retired years ago write to the centre not to grant extensions. It is unwarranted and uncalled for interference in the affairs of democratically elected governments.

Time to abolish Administrative Tribunals

Everyone who has a legal case against him or one who goes to the court for justice proclaims his faith in the judiciary. In fact, however judiciary also fails in dispensing justice and its credibility is at stake. I recently saw a judgement of Delhi High Court on a writ petition filed by Ministry of Railways on a well reasoned decision of the Central Administrative Tribunal on several Applications filed by a number of officers aggrieved by the way the department had meddled with their well-established seniority in a very 'arbitrary, whimsical and secretive way'( observations by CAT). The High Court took 12 years to decide on that Writ Petition ,11 months to deliver the judgement after the hearing was over and it was kept reserved. What a flip-flop judgement it is. Neither here nor there but finally presuming the Government department to be right and giving some relief to the aggrieved officers, so they thought. In effect however the judgement have inadvertently and unintentionally caused the officers further loss than their original grievance. In this case the Ministry has promptly implemented the judgement . Where do the officers go? Supreme Court. They need lawyers who charge a lot and then who knows Supreme court will admit their Special Leave Petition. That is why it is time to either abolish Administrative Tribunals or go back to the original provision in the Act where appeal from CAT lies only with the Supreme Court.

DATE WITH RTI

Fraudulent surrender of LIC Policy

The Appellant took a health plus policy. She learnt that her policy was surrendered without her knowledge on the basis of her forged signatures on the policy and the amount was used for taking two new policies by her mother-in-law. She complained to LIC and got an FIR registered at Meerut. The LIC informed her that they had sought the explanation of the agent concerned. She asked for a copy of this explanation of the LIC agent under RTI which was denied to her. She argued that the information sought related to her and therefore, she was not a third party and had a right to get a copy of the explanation. LIC stated that on the basis of a complaint, they had paid the amount along with interest to the appellant and redressed her grievance. The copy of the explanation submitted by the agent was denied claiming it to be personal information related to the agency. Relying on the Apex Court judgment in Girish Ramchandra Deshpande case, the CIC upheld the denial of information

Comments

The appellant was able to get back the amount with interest due to the pressure created by RTI application. It is a mute question whether an explanation of the LIC agent in respect of alleged fraud committed in respect of a client can be called as a third party information.
