Two years of NDA govt

NDA government at the centre is going to complete its two years on May 26 this year. The big question is that how the govt will celebrate its second celebrations? If sources are to be believed, the Ministers have been asked to include five major initiatives and equal number of success stories in the report cards. Apart from this a comparative study, before 2014 and after that, should also be included in the highlights.

Holi hai Holi hai....
Holi hai Holi hai,
Boora mathth manaana Holi hai!!

Past PMs ...a comeback in ageing they staged!
But Modi's hairline receded and he's aged!

Wants to change the Nation in a hurry!
For the Nation he does worry! !

Holi hai Holi hai,
Boora mathth manaana Holi hai!!

For 10 years we had a carefree PM!
His concern was Sonia as he was her GM!

7 RCR was a golden cage for him!!
His servility to Sonia for India was grim!

Holi hai Holi hai,
Boora mathth manaana Holi hai!!

Now Jaitley needs to spoil us!
Before Public starts to cuss!

He's given us bitter pill after bitter pill!
Believe me we've had bitter pill ka fill!

Holi hai Holi hai,
Boora mathth manaana Holi hai!!

Sonia Aunty hai parreshaan!
For this she has to blame her kachcha kaan!

And then her Beta Moh!
Iss mein gayi hai kho!

Holi hai Holi hai,
Boora mathth manaana Holi hai!!

Rahul is on his trip!
Reality he can never grip!

He thinks being PM is his birthright!
Often indicates left turn but turns right!!

Holi hai Holi hai,
Boora mathth manaana Holi hai!!

Say BJP and smoke comes out of Kejri's ears!
Being booted out from being CM his biggest fear's!!!

BJP is always on his mann!
Sometimes says BJP when he calls his son!

Holi hai Holi hai,
Boora mathth manaana Holi hai!!

Laloo will celebrate in the Laloo way!
Sane no one in his group can stay!

He will be in full flow!
Let's see if he hits a new low!

Holi hai Holi hai,
Boora mathth manaana Holi hai!!

Maya will not celebrate Holi!
Still mopes.. Dekho Smrithi mujhe kya bolli!

In her moping will be joined by her motley tolli!
Like Bhenji they too will not celebrate Holi!

Holi hai Holi hai,
Boora mathth manaana Holi hai!!

Mulayam will celebrate Holi UP style!
But uss ko one thing sure does rile!

He recalls the Holis with Amar Singh!
Praise for Amar in this department he still does sing!

Holi hai Holi hai,
Boora mathth manaana Holi hai!!

Enjoy Holi ...but keep in touch with spirituality!
Usually during Holi it's the first casualty!

Colour yourself in His name!
Holi will no longer then be the same !!

Holi hai Holi hai,
Boora mathth manaana Holi hai!!

"Modi has no parallel"
-Prime Minister Narendra Modi who till a little less than two years ago was beloved of the majority might be losing charm in the opinion of some people but the question is that does any one else including his opponents - Rahul, Mulayam or Lalu - have any charm ?
This question came up in the wake of response of the surfers of whispersinthecorridors.com who were asked - "Is PM Narendra Modi losing his charm ? Is he a changed man ?" While some replied in the affirmative, majority did not agree and some of them even asked who else among Indian politicians can stand parallel to him and suggested 'to see the things in the right perspective'.

Bhagat Singh's legacy needs no clutches

There has been perpetual increase in his universal popularity and appeal. The effort of the Modi regime to propagate and glorify the legends like Subhash Chander Bose and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and to downgrade the legacy of Gandhi and Nehru has neither brought any change to the shining image of Bose and Patel nor has it sullied the stature of Nehru and Gandhi. When Jatinder Nath Das laid down his life for the country while participating in the world famous hunger- strike, led by Bhagat Singh in jail, Subhash Chander Bose ,personally collected his body from Central jail Lahore and supervised the funeral procession and cremation in Calcutta, which was attended by more than one lac people. History is witness that Bhagat Singh had become a household name and was more popular in India than Mahatma Gandhi even before his martyrdom. Even Nehru had to say that spirit of patriotism and self-sacrifice of the trio martyrs has to be respected, though he was reprimanded by Gandhi even for saying so. Jinnah spent substantial time in the Central Assembly to eulogize the spirit and the supreme deeds of the young man and his comrades. Bhagat Singh did not forget to thank Subhash Chander Bose and Mohammad Ali Jinnah for their support before he kissed the gallows. Saunderas was murdered on 18th Dec,1928,and Bombs were thrown in the Central Assembly (present day parliament) on April 8, 1929.The meticulous planning and brave acts in a short period of 5 months speak volumes about the titan stature of these young men. After the martyrdom, with each passing day Bhagat Singh's popularity has been growing worldwide without any help from the government. He is remembered each second by the young men and his memory ignites the spirit of 'Revolution' every now and then, the spirit of bringing equality ,justice and liberty. Whosoever has read Kuldip Nayyar's biography of the Shaeed-E-Azam, would bear that how he had become an icon in the remotest corners of India. Given the type of regimes ,we unfortunately have been getting, Bhagat Singh's legacy does not fit in the scheme of things, as he practiced and preached what is not possible for them to follow. He shall continue to inspire and live fresh in the memory of mankind for many millenniums.

Small-savings interest rate cut

Hardly had the middle and salaried class heaved an easy sigh of financial comfort after the EPF taxation imbroglio announced in the budget, had been withdrawn , then this class again was given perhaps vengeance shock by way of reduction of interest rate on the small savings. For the last about 4 decades investment in small savings has become habit with this class in spite of the fact that the interest rate has been reduced from 12% to a little more than 8%.in the last about decade and a half. When Manmohan Singh became finance minister this class did not get any personal income tax relief for 5 years. Same thing has been happening again. Jaitley has hardly given any tax relief in two years and at the same time this class has been subjected to pin-pricks by way of snatching, whatever little they have .Can we say that Manmohan Singh did not know the pulse of the people and in the same way Arun Jaitley is also ignorant about the ground realities, as both of them have never won any electoral battle with the participation of the masses. The imagination of the finance managers does not go beyond the Corporate and the shallow knowledge shared by the bureaucrats. The small-saving is the succor of the middle class and it should not be burdened with taxes and considered as mechanism to boost consumerism and baffling and confusing economic indexes.

DATE WITH RTI

Fraudulent surrender of LIC Policy

The Appellant took a health plus policy. She learnt that her policy was surrendered without her knowledge on the basis of her forged signatures on the policy and the amount was used for taking two new policies by her mother-in-law. She complained to LIC and got an FIR registered at Meerut. The LIC informed her that they had sought the explanation of the agent concerned. She asked for a copy of this explanation of the LIC agent under RTI which was denied to her. She argued that the information sought related to her and therefore, she was not a third party and had a right to get a copy of the explanation. LIC stated that on the basis of a complaint, they had paid the amount along with interest to the appellant and redressed her grievance. The copy of the explanation submitted by the agent was denied claiming it to be personal information related to the agency. Relying on the Apex Court judgment in Girish Ramchandra Deshpande case, the CIC upheld the denial of information

Comments

The appellant was able to get back the amount with interest due to the pressure created by RTI application. It is a mute question whether an explanation of the LIC agent in respect of alleged fraud committed in respect of a client can be called as a third party information.
