Kejriwal is not Chief Minister of India

1. Arvind Kejriwal is not Chief Minister of India. He should concentrate on serving his state. Unfortunately he is over ambitious and wanted to become PM of India. i.e. why he is agitated about somebody's degree etc. Look no other politician bothered about it. Better he should choose his advisers.

2.CBDT/CBEC are highly technical departments. There isn't much to do for genaralists like IAS. Hasmukhji, may be good in administrative work but in technical fields like Customs, C.Exise, ED, DRI, and Incometax there isn`t much to do. The entrenched IRS lobby is so powerful that it is tough to control them.

Next ballot battle in Punjab

The recent results of Assemblies of 5 states may not usher in any era of good governance or prosperity as the players having the time tested agenda of watching only electoral prospects have got power to rule. Now the election focus will be on UP and predominantly on Punjab, which remains in news for bad reasons and where BJP is an alliance partner. The 2014 Lok Sabha election in Punjab had crystallized the terrible hate wave against the regime, throwing in the arena of reckoning ,new outfit AAP, with 4 seats. The landslide victory of AAP in Delhi thereafter, put the already berated traditional parties in the SOS mode, as far as Punjab was concerned. The fear lurks consistently as the stakes for the traditional parties are very high. There is hardly any difference of policies of governance of the already tested parties of Punjab, as concern for public welfare is completely missing in the both. Only agenda of the major players, has been to loot and plunder the already feeble state. New experiments of contract politics are being tested by employing outside experts to ensure victory by one outfit, the other has started jumbo sangat darshans and loan taking sprees to lure and entice the voters ,once again. No towering personalities are joining AAP in numbers, which seems to have already assumed that it was going to win 2017 Assembly elections. It has resulted into the many mercenaries joining the party, and complacence dawned therein, has dampened its fighting and crusaders' spirit .The fight appears to be cosmetic, as the farmers' and the drug-afflicted families have been left to fend for themselves. Nobody is helping them. AAP's conduct is like the callous conduct of the traditional parties. People want change from age-old politics, but AAP should not think that it was the only alternative. Although AAP has not named CM, but it is not a significant issue. Any clean, honest, and committed novice would do, and prove better than the people ,who have destroyed Punjab. Ronald Reagan was a film actor and became President of USA,NT Ramarao, MGR, Sunil Datt, Shatrughan Sinha, Vinod khanna were actors and successful administrators Giani Gurmukh singh Musafir was a poet and CM Punjab. Punjab's agony, and misfortune beckons honest and brave, people, committed to public cause stalwarts and Robin Hoods to emerge victorious in 2017, for its deliverance and putting it on the path to glory.

Claim for maintenance

Appellant, a deserted wife, claimed inadequacy of maintenance from her husband. She sought the latest salary slip of Shri Naresh Kumar Chopra, his residential address, copy of service book, latest GPF statement, details of assets owned by him. She also sought name of nominee appointed by her husband in GPF & Family Pension, group insurance schemes, CGHS, death & retirement gratuity etc. The PIO denied information under section 8(1)(j) of the RTI Act as it was personal information.
The CIC observed that certain documents like annual returns of assets, investments, IT returns etc were earlier declared as private/ personal or third party information, as far as spouses are concerned they are not private or personal or third party information between them, in the context of marital disputes especially for maintenance purposes. The CIC ruled that the appellant is entitled to have access to the salary related information but has no right to her husband’s private information like deductions from salary

Comments

Right to Information Act entitles an appellant to get even the personal information if there is overwhelming public interest. In case the husband does not maintain his wife, a question arises whether denial of such information challenges her right to live. If so, the information related to maintenance becomes life related information.
