Proposal be implemented on pilot basis

My personal opinion, having served in Prasar bharati offices at National capital and also at tier II cities, the proposal needs to be implemented, at least on pilot basis. There is a lot of heart-burn when DRs posted at Prasar Bharati offices have to serve sub-serviently to Head of Offices who are not from the civil services and also of not equal seniority in terms of pay and service. In one of the metro cities, HOO of the station is of Grade pay Rs. 6600/- with lavishly furnished office chambers while the Head of news section from IIS is of PB 4 grade with no proper office to even function from. So much for clearing the civil services and responsible for news output 24 X 7 X 366

No synch on PM policies and working of various departments !

Prime Minister is advocating Digital India programme in every forum but it appears that Finance Ministry is not in synch. PM has made submission of documents by self certifying it, no interview for lower jobs, digital lockers and many other schemes where paper work is reduced and people are self respected in certifying their own documents whereas CBDT has recently issued a circular for claiming rebate on LTA, HRA, deduction under section VI-A etc. has to fill up various forms, making the process and tax compliance more difficult. ITR for salaried people used to be SARAL is becoming more complex in coming days. Only salaried people are being targeted for such things as Income Tax department does not have other innovative work to do. It appears this is being done to divert the attention about the failure of Finance Ministry. The failures can be attributed by not getting GST bill passed, question mark is being put in working of ED, failures to widen the tax net of the people having income more than 50 lakhs, no steps whatsoever in identification of higher income group who are not in the tax net. The tax compliance for salaried people is being made more complex and difficult whereas it was promised by Finance Minister it will be simple and will be made more simple. Why all this is being done when even PM has realised things can be made more simpler and minimum interaction with Govt. officials? Digital Money can be introduced to reduce cash transactions which will reduce generation of black money. During present Assembly Election it is again observed by RBI about the increase in cash flow. Prevention is better than cure. Reduce cash as much as can be done by making no cash transaction more than Rs.20000, it is either by plastic cards or digital money. Let the people be more responsive in tax compliance making it more simpler.

DATE WITH RTI

Compilation of employee information on zonal basis

The appellant sought the details of deductions made in his Provident fund and current balance. The Railways denied him the information stating that they do not have a centralized information system for the employees. The CIC directed the Railways to provide the information. Further, the CIC advised the Railways to set up an information System, where an employee can access PF details for his entire career by entering a unique employee ID.

Comments

Many organisations compile information on a regional or zonal basis. A consolidated information system would not only help the employees in keeping track of their PF balances and withdrawals, but would also save the time and efforts of the public authority in compiling the records.
