How do you see the two most powerful leaders of
the World - Donald Trump and Narendra Modi ?
Some people see Donald Trump as Narendra Modi
of the USA. Like Modi in 2014, they say, Trump touched the raw nerve
of the US citizens in 2016 to win a decisive victory.
If Modi, with his magnetic electoral campaign,
won an absolute majority for his party for the first time in 2014, Trump
also staged a spectacular campaign to win the top job for himself.
How do you (surfers of whispersinthecorridors.com)
see the two most powerful leaders of the World ?

Modi Vs Trump
I do agree that both Modi and Trump touched the raw nerves of the majority
but neglected population of their respective countries and succeeded.
This in fact is the strength of democracy. But what Modi has in favour
is poor institutional checks and balances in our system. Not that he
is not doing a good job but he is able to bulldoze his way through with
reforms for which the country is not developed enough to go through.
But we have no time andIndia has to go through these pains.
But Trump is in an environment where the institutional system is very
strong. He may be speaking what is right for middle and lower middle
class Americans. But that is not what the system may agree. Just see
the irony. He is now speaking of Protectionism and the Chinese are talking
Global economy.
The Republicans came around to support him at the fag end of the campaign
when all those tapes controversy came up. They realized that it's better
to rally behind Trump to get the Presidency out of democrats. They can
still impeach Trump with the Vice President taking over for the rest
of the term. Very much a possibility.
Mullath Sri
"One, two, three, too many ?"
First some irritating facts. while 10 Janpath occupied by Congress supremo
sprawls over an area of 15,181 Sq metres, 7 RCR , PM's official residence
has 14,101 Sq metres. Why is 10-Janpath called the official residence
of Sonia Gandhi when she does not ( she never held, nor ever will )
hold any Constitutional position ? Even the post of Chairperson NAC
was extra-Constitutional. Is her claim to a sprawling bungalow justified
? Why separate bungalows for Priyanka Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi ? Total
3, free of rent, electricity and Z+ security.
These undeserved privileges merely increase the tax payers' burden.
Should public money be wasted to massage the collective ego of a party,
headed by someone belonging to a dynasty and bearing a certain "
surname". There is Life after death. As if, the present privileges
were not enough, Teen Murti and Indira Gandhi museum, official residences
of former PMs, were added to the list of Delhi's tourist spots, besides,of
course, their samadhis.
Consider Mayawati. Three Type VIII bungalows in Lutynes Delhi allotted
to her, were amalgamated into a super bungalow involving unauthorized
constructions in violations of rules. Besides the above 3, she was allotted
another bungalow plus Z+ security and one more to a BSP trust. Total
5. Thanks to compulsions of coalition politics of the Congress.
Is the common man paying taxes for the comforts of infamous political
celebrities of Lutynes' Delhi or implementation of socio-economic schemes
?

Information about death of son in Hostel
A 2nd semester M.Sc. student reportedly committed suicide during
the academic year 2014-15. His father sought certain information
about the enquiry into the tragic event. The CIC observed that
spending Rs 35/- for speed post to seek Rs 10/- is a reckless
act and wastage of public money without application of mind. The
CIC opined that the University has a moral & legal responsibility
to provide complete information to the father whose son has left
to heavenly abode in mysterious circumstances. The CIC granted
a compensation of Rs. 5,000/-to the appellant for harassment caused
to him for not providing complete information regarding the whereabouts
about his sons death. The CIC issued show-cause notice to
the PIO why maximum penalty should not be imposed on him for this
kind of inhumane treatment to the appellant by not providing the
complete information. The CIC further recommended to the respondent
authority to expedite the enquiry and provide the copy of the
report to the appellant besides initiating necessary steps to
prevent such tragic happenings in the University.
Comments
A PIO should adopt a liberal approach in favour of disclosure
and take judicious decisions. Sending a letter to the applicant
to seek Rs 10/- by a process which itself costs more than three
times the amount sought speaks poorly about the acumen of the
Officer concerned.
