DEBATE

How do you see the two most powerful leaders of the World - Donald Trump and Narendra Modi ?

Some people see Donald Trump as Narendra Modi of the USA. Like Modi in 2014, they say, Trump touched the raw nerve of the US citizens in 2016 to win a decisive victory.

If Modi, with his magnetic electoral campaign, won an absolute majority for his party for the first time in 2014, Trump also staged a spectacular campaign to win the top job for himself.

How do you (surfers of whispersinthecorridors.com) see the two most powerful leaders of the World ?

Steel Minister inaugurates state-of-the-art Universal Rail Mill at SAIL Bhilai
Union Steel Minister, Birender Singh inaugurated the new Universal Rail Mill at Steel Authority of India Ltd.'s (SAIL) Bhilai Steel Plant and flagged off the first rake from the new mill. With this, SAIL has begun the commercial production of world's longest single rail of 130 meters from the new Universal Rail Mill (URM). Birender Singh congratulated SAIL collective for commencing production from URM and said that, "it is a huge step towards the Make in India initiative, where India is pioneering in production of such quality products. The country needs to be self sufficient in meeting its specific requirements and products like the longest rails will solidify industry confidence." The state-of-the-art URM, established at a cost of about Rs. 1200 Crores will now take BSP's total capacity to produce rails at 2.0 MTPA, which will be the largest rail production capacity in any single location for a Plant world over. Alongside the URM, which is part of the plant's modernization & expansion programme (MEP), a long rail welding complex had also been set with proven technology for world class rail welding. The welding complex is equipped with fully automated flash butt welding machine to weld rail panels of 260-metre length and fully automated long rail handling facility. This URM complex would equip SAIL to meet Indian railways' specific demand of 260 metre rails as the new mill is capable of producing 260 m long rail with a single weld and also has the provision to supply welded panels up to 520 m length in future. The rails rolled from this new URM will enable SAIL to produce rails with improved surface quality, less residual stress and improved straightness. Speaking at the occasion, Chairman, SAIL, PK Singh said that, "With the inauguration of URM, SAIL has come one significant step closer to completing the modernisation. This URM complex with the latest technology will empower SAIL to meet the specific needs of Indian railways with greater efficiency and finesse. In the challenging market scenario, we expect to offer better solutions for specialized needs of our valued customers."

Think it over

1.For the first time in world history RBI is being questioned in PAC and gheraoed in any country.
2. First and Foremost is both Pakistan and China should return back our occupied land and occupied Tibet to Dali lama .Then terrorism comes next.
3. RSS should have talked about LORD Temple in Ayodhya first. What to talk about Hindu Ekta. All Hindu are one.
4.It is high time India should understand that whole world is fooling us. Because they see India as big consuming market due to population and unorganised. They do not want us to be developed otherwise their market will be finished.
5. Digitisation etc are for less populated country. To some extent it is good which already exists and effort is going on. If you get into it, backward integration will start, which has already started and you will not move ahead with upgrading technology and renovation.

IRS Customs and Central Excise Titanic sinking

In the history of Indian bureaucracy, no other service might have suffered from this kind of tragic neglect as is suffered by this service. There is imminent challenge of GST implementation and the whole service has shrunk to almost 40 percent of its cadre strength of 84000. Not a single promotion has been given even after 3 years and 4 months of cadre review. There are virtually no Chief Commissioners . Only 30 percent Principal Commissioners , 25 percent Commissioners, huge vacancies in all grades, no support staff, no infrastructure, no funds for office expenses. It's such a demoralising scenario that even the most optimistic officers have started crying of neglect .the present regime is only interested in squeezing the officers much beyond their human capacity without any motivation whatsoever. Not even NFU is granted to the officers of this cadre who ranked far higher than audit accounts , railways, income tax, civil accounts services in the UPSC exam. Many of them left the IPS also but now having seen the utter pathetic plight, everyone is speechless. Will the arrogant administration ever realise that they are killing so many bright officers who could have contributed much better to the national goals had some amount of motivation been given to them.

Why disparity between IAS and non IAS?

IAS officers can go on deputation as MD/CMD of public sector entities but officers from group A services have to take permanent absorption all such cases.

Time to put control on channels

An agitation limited to a few villages has been made into a great national agitation for Tamil culture mainly due to the TV channels and TV debates. The great Tamil culture does not confine itself to a Jallikattu, which many feel cruel to the bulls and against our culture. It is time for the government to put a minimum control on channels. The channels in their competition for TRP has many times brought in odd cases of Dalit attack and beef eating into a national issue creating bad blood between castes and religions. It does not auger well for the nation.
