Demonetization - a total failure
The much hyped demonetization is total failure in terms of recovering
blackmoney by the present government. The government is in hibernation
on blackmoney issue nowadays, instead highlighting cashless economy
to put the blackmoney issue under the carpet.

Guidelines are not flouted
The PSUs are in a mess, making perennial losses and not many are interested
in joining them nowadays. Some of the PESB meetings go away without
they being able to select a suitable candidate. The people who make
hue and cry are the disgruntled lot GMs and EDs of the PSUs, who all
the life have shirked work and always had a grievance with the government.
They only want fulfill their last wishes of becoming the CEO of the
PSU without bothering about the long term revival of the PSU.

Why so many Additional Secretaries In Ministries/Depts of Govt of India
?
Writer has rightly observed in WIC 27.2.17 'ACS grade in ample-waste
of resources'. Like ACS in State Govts, large no. of Additional Secretaries
(all from monopolised one service only-IAS) posted in Govt of India
are sheer loot and waste of Public Money. They should go back to serve
public in State cadres. In Govt of India, approval of major decisions
end at Joint Secretary level (again controlled by IAS); only a few go
to Secretary for approval, then why should IAS have so many posts of
Addl. Secretaries in any Ministry/Deptt. There should be only ONE Addl
Secy in any Ministry/dept who should be FA and also be Acting Secretary,
in the absence of Secretary. All other AS level officer should be removed
from Ministry/Dept and posted either in attached offices or sent back
to State Govt. PM Modi should be apprised of this BUREAUCRATIC SCAM
BY ias.
