POLITICS
This is History ( 557)

cares for any.
Who is Modi's most trusted man in the Cabinet ?
Nobody knows who is the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's most trusted
man in the Cabinet. What is the mystery ?
Kejriwal's shortcoming ?
Despite several qualities, Kejriwal's only shortcoming is that he can't
tolerate any one in the party. But his 'Ekla Chalo' policy is unlikely
ttobring any dividends in such a bif set up.
Padhe likke unpadd..
My good friend is a Harvard Graduate...he now heads a NGO and is an
avid Political Pandit. We meet at a Restaurant in CP ...known for its
humongous very spicy samosas served with a unique curd chutney. Over
samosas and tea we get chatting ..
Me: So Mr. Harvard ..what is your take on PM's Harvard and Hard
Work comment ..
Friend: No doubt the Harvard Degree needs a lot of hard work....but
it is not the end...its a means to an end ..which is achieving the best
in whatever a Harvardian does....in fact the real hard work starts after
you graduate ..
M: Yes... both of us know a number of Harvardians who languished in
their careers as they took their Degrees to be the pinnacle ...then
for them the trappings of being a Harvard Graduate is what mattered...at
Page 3 Parties...flaunting their Harvard Jackets and ..introducing themselves....
I'm from Harvard...
F: Take my case ...I preferred to do what I liked... yes.. I was not
the hard working type....
M: Now take MMS ...he has both Oxford and Cambridge Degrees...what use
were the Degrees when he was reduced to allegedly a Rubber Stamp PM...I
think its how you apply the Degree...and of course the hard work you
put in....the dedication you have in what you do...
F: And take Modi ...he does not have a Harvard..Cambridge or Oxford
degree but see how much he has achieved ..sheer hard work..dedication
..common sense...and a analytical mind...
M: Take Salman Kursheed ..he has degrees from... St. Edmund Hall, Oxford
University, Oxford, U.K....and yet he just got duped online for 58,000...the
one who duped him could be an undergraduate....abh apni Degrees baitt
ke chaate...
F: I just got a message ...as per the Satta Bazars BJP getting 280 seats
in UP.....average of 4 Satta Bazaars ..BSP coming distant second ..
M: That is why SP..Congress ...BSP were so upset with Modi campaigning
so vigorously in UP...especially fourth phase ..
F: His Constituency area... plus BJP would like to max this Phase ..minimal
majority minority vote...this is BJP territory..
M: So now what next for RaGa and Aki???
F: RaGa ...Nani House jaane waale hai ...Aki ...he used to feel his
crooked nose is lucky for him..after this drubbing ..apni tedhi naak
seedhi karwaane waale hai..
M: Any Satta Bazar predictions for UK.. Goa and Punjab...
F: Yup... UK and Goa ...BJP Governments ..in Punjab ..derivative ...its
...who will go ..to Bangalore ...Dubai...or London...

Why IAS alone is targeted ?
I was just reading the disscussion about quality of IAS officers. I
have no doubt that they are the most efficient lot in the country.
As Saxena is questioning the system of recruitment of civil servant
he suggested that it is faulty I don't know the system of recruitment
but what about the training part after recruitment it is how you train
these young probationers, we can make more delivery oriented and effective
officers. Instead of training them that they teach them everyone should
know what u eat in your posted district. exact word of young newly posted
officer " acadamy me sikhaya jata hai ki posting hote hi poore
Zile ko pata chal jana chahiye ki aap kya khate hain ".
I think it is more imp how you train the person.
Bhupendra Kumar
Despondency of officers may spread like cancer
I completely agree with A K Saxena's views on IAS vis-à-vis other
Group A Services. To add to his comments, the vicious circle if not
checked now by PM himself (no faith in DoPT/Cabinet Sectt), the despair
and despondency of officers may spread like cancer in the entire bureaucracy,
with further decline in quality of service or outcomes in central government
The widening gap is now IAS 1998 batch for JS vs 1989 batch for other
Services for Joint Secretary. Not only that, most of these junior officers
are behaving like super boss even on same level officers of other services.
They occupy the bigger rooms, enjoy more power and authority with complete
disregard to the status of similarly placed officers due to blessings
of their senior brethren of same clan. This kind of arrogance and attitude
and practice in should at least be checked as quick as possible before
officers start revolting.

Non-receipt of RTI application sent by registered post
The RTI application was sent through Registered post and the same
was delivered in the respondent organization. However, the respondent
claimed that the RTI application was not received and hence, no
reply within the stipulated time could be provided to the appellant.
To ascertain the facts leading to the misplacement of the RTI
application filed by the appellant, the CIC directed the FAA,
Ministry of Home Affairs to inquire into the matter of the 'missing'
RTI application and to ascertain as to whether the RTI application
was actually misplaced or the CPIO had taken that plea to deny
information to the appellant. The FAA was directed to take appropriate
departmental action against the officers/officials responsible
for the misplacement of the RTI application, if required. A copy
of the inquiry report along with the action taken report was directed
to be provided to the Commission as well as to the appellant within
a period of six weeks. Further, a compensation of Rs. 2,500/-
was granted to the appellant. The CIC also observed that the First
Appellate Authority should give an opportunity of hearing to any
Appellant if the Appellant expressly wants to be heard.
