7 Special Chief Secretaries in Punjab

The Punjab Government has appointed senior IAS officer Anurag Verma as the new Chief Secretary but in the process, superseded 11 other officers. Of these, 11 officers, 7 are working in the state and rest, 4 are on central deputation. To accommodate these 7 officers, they have been made Special Chief Secretaries. Verma is a 1993 batch officer. Consequent upon implementation of the order, Anirudh Tewari, IAS (1990); Anurag Agarwal, IAS (1990); A. Venu Prasad, IAS (1991); Smt. Seema Jain, IAS (1991); Sarvjit Singh, IAS (1992); Smt. Raji P. Shrivastava, IAS (1992) and KAP Sinha, IAS (1992) shall be designated as Special Chief Secretary to the Government of Punjab.
