IAS Bhavya Mittal belongs to 2014 batch, MP cadre and is currently posted as Collector Burhanpur District of MP. She has often made headlines for her great work and was also recently awarded Prime minister excellence award in 2023 from PM Modi for her successful implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission. Under her leadership Burhanpur became the first district in India to achieve "Har Ghar Jal" certification by ensuring every household received clean drinking water through tap connections.

Burhanpur, renowned as the largest banana-producing district in Madhya Pradesh, is set for new heights by Bhavya's visionary initiatives.

About her dream project Bhavya said “My focus is to ensure Good markets for our banana products which will include handicrafts from the produce as well, We recently also held banana festival”

In the banana festival, different kinds of products made from bananas were showcased like banana chips, Banana powder and banana handloom. The festival was not just celebrated locally but also gathered nationwide acclaim. Additionally, she was able to attract significant investments through the festival.

Bhavya shared her ambitions, saying, “We aim to take our products to both national and global markets. In fact, we are sending some of our people to Russia, where some Burhanpur natives currently work, to hold a meet.”
