IAS Tejas Nandlal Pawar is a 2018 Batch Officer of Telangana cadre and is currently posted as District Collector of Suryapet, Telangana. His Vision for the district is to drive holistic development in the district.
“Every sector is a priority. We follow a review-based approach — weekly, fortnightly, or monthly because things have to move for each sector. As the head of district administration, I cannot afford to overlook any area. We make a conscious effort to ensure that development remains balanced.” He quoted
As the needs and challenges vary from one district to another, Pawar explained that the plans are designed tailored to the specific context, prevailing circumstances and current scenario’s .
Recognizing Suryapet’s agricultural strength, particularly in paddy production, Pawar is focusing on ensuring that no land remains unirrigated. “Our goal is to support paddy-specific irrigation and strengthen post-harvest management. We’re also working to ensure that farmers have access to profitable markets and that MSP (Minimum Support Price) is effectively enforced” he said
In Education, focus is on strengthening the right to education, Foundational Literacy and Learning Improvement programs. Additionally Efforts are also underway to ensure full functionality and enrollment in Residential Schools.
On the Nutrition Front, he mentioned “we are closely monitoring and pushing for the successful implementation of Poshan Abhiyan through Anganwadis” .Food Safety being another key area,the state has introduced the distribution of fine rice “We ensure transparent delivery so the rice reaches the right beneficiaries and distribution runs smoothly.” He said
For saturation of Government schemes and to execute these schemes exactly as envisioned, Pawar said “If the government has launched a particular scheme, implementing it becomes our top responsibility because they reflect the priorities of the state.”
Beyond the sectoral program, Pawar is actively focusing on land related issues, coordinating with the police, interacting with citizens, and engaging with gram panchayats to strengthen essential services like drinking water and sanitation.
Involving all the stakeholders of the district,Pawar aims for 360 degree development of the district “With the support of various district departments, we aim to make a positive impact across all areas.”
