HURL brings “SAKSHAM” Skill Development Program to CIPET Ranchi (UPDATED)

Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Limited (HURL) has expanded its flagship skill development initiative, “SAKSHAM,” to the CIPET campus in Ranchi, Jharkhand. Following its successful implementation at CIPET Lucknow and Hajipur, the initiative now welcomes two fresh batches, aiming to train 80 unemployed youth from Dhanbad district with industry-relevant technical skills. This step aligns with HURL’s Corporate Environment Responsibility (CER) objectives, focused on addressing the skill gap and promoting vocational education among underprivileged youth. The broader SAKSHAM program aims to train 320 candidates across the regions where HURL operates—namely Gorakhpur, Barauni, and Dhanbad—through structured courses hosted at CIPET centres in Lucknow, Varanasi, Hajipur, and Ranchi. Training is being imparted in two niche areas: Machine Operator – Plastic Processing and Injection Moulding. The launch event at CIPET Ranchi was marked by a ceremonial lamp lighting and the distribution of training kits. The ceremony was graced by Sh. Chaman Jaggi, Vice President, HR & CSR at HURL, along with Sh. Praveen B. Bachhav, Director & Head of CIPET Ranchi, and senior officials from both organizations. In his keynote, Chaman Jaggi emphasized the transformative potential of practical, industry-oriented training in improving employability and fostering socio-economic development. He highlighted how initiatives like SAKSHAM can be instrumental in providing youth with the tools to secure meaningful livelihoods. With this fully residential program, participants from Dhanbad are given the opportunity to immerse themselves in focused, skill-based education without the stress of financial constraints. The training offers more than just technical expertise—it opens the door to long-term career possibilities in a dynamic and growing sector. By rolling out this initiative in Ranchi, HURL and CIPET reaffirm their commitment to creating a skilled, self-reliant workforce and driving inclusive growth at the grassroots level.
