whispers in the corridors

On the occasion of International Labour Day 2025, NBCC (India) Limited paid tribute to the invaluable contribution of its site workforce — the Shramjeevis — by carrying out extensive welfare drives encompassing medical camps, food distribution, insurance facilitation and educational support for worker’s families at several of its project sites which benefitted more than 3000 workers. At NBCC’s Corporate Office, Senior Executive Director (HRM/Admin) and GM (Admin), led the celebration by distributing food packets to support staff including housekeeping, canteen, and security personnel — a gesture that symbolized the company’s deep respect for those who serve behind the scenes every day. Led by RBGs/SBGs and with the support of employees, similar sentiments translated into impactful action across project locations nationwide. Amrapali projects covering Silicon City, Leisure Valley, Leisure Park, Golf Homes and Centurion Park in Noida/Gr. Noida celebrated Labour Day with enthusiasm and participation. The presence of RLC (Central) further elevated the event, which featured medical check-up camps, food packet distribution and E-Shram enrolment of workers, granting them access to ₹5 lakh in medical insurance and ₹2 lakh in accidental insurance coverage. Stationery kits were also gifted to the children of workers, emphasizing the importance of education in shaping a better and more secure future. In Delhi various redevelopment projects like Sarojini Nagar and Netaji Nagar in collaboration with various hospitals organized the medical camps and ensured that workers had direct access to healthcare services. At the Bharat Vandana Park site in New Delhi, food packets were distributed to the workforce engaged in developing this significant public space. The spirit of appreciation extended to NBCC project sites in Northeast covering Mizoram, Manipur, Assam, Tripura, Sikkim etc. wherein medical camps were held at project sites like NIT Sikkim Unakoti (Tripura), Core Depository OIL Guwahati, IBBF Mizoram, NIT Sikkim etc. Further, medical camps were also organised at various NBCC projects sites like NLU Cuttack, IIFT Kakinada, IIM Visakhapatnam, Pondicherry Smart City, Sabrimala project, Kerala etc. NBCC also organized medical camp for its workforce In Maldives at its 2000 Social Housing Units, Hulhumale site.
