Reshuffle of IPS officers in Punjab
Nine IPS officers have been reshuffled in Punjab. Varinder Kumar has been appointed as Special DGP, Punjab State Human Rights Commission, Chandigarh, while Praveen Kumar Sinha takes over as ADGP, Intelligence, and in addition Chief Director, Vigilance Bureau and R K Jaiswal is now ADGP, NRI, Punjab, SAS Nagar. Similarly, Kuldeep Singh Chahal takes over as DIG, Technical Services, Chandigarh; Harjeet Singh, DIG, Bathinda Range, will also hold charge of DIG, Training, Chandigarh; Nanak Singh as DIG, Patiala Range; Varun Sharma as SSP, Patiala; Tushar Gupta as AIG, Provisioning, Chandigarh and in addition SSP, Sadak Suraksha Force, Chandigarh and Maninder Singh, SSP, Amritsar Rural, gets additional charge of AIG, Welfare, Chandigarh.
