BJP President Elections likely to be delayed

The BJP is prepared for its National President election but is awaiting a final go-ahead. However, the Pahalgam attack and the subsequent Operation Sindoor have created uncertainty, possibly delaying the announcement. As per BJP sources, all internal procedures for electing the successor to JP Nadda are complete. Organisational elections have been concluded in 14 states, with new state president’s name clear in 13. According to the BJP constitution, elections in at least 18 states are required before choosing a national president. The process is ongoing, with Maharashtra, Haryana, and Delhi likely to conclude within 15–20 days.
