THDC honoured with ‘Rajbhasha Jyoti Shield’ by Ministry (UPDATED)

THDC India Limited, a Mini Ratna Public Sector Undertaking, conferred with the prestigious ‘Rajbhasha Jyoti Shield’ during the meeting of the Hindi Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Power, Government of India. The award was presented by Hon’ble Union Minister of Power and Housing & Urban Affairs, Manohar Lal. R K Vishnoi, Chairman and Managing Director, THDC India Limited, along with Shallinder Singh, Director (Personnel) received the award on behalf of THDC India Limited. The ceremony was graced by the presence of  Minister of State for Power,  Shripad Yesso Naik, Secretary (Power), Pankaj Agarwal (IAS), Dheeraj Kumar Srivastava, Chief Engineer (In-charge, Official Language), and senior officials and representatives from various offices and Public Sector Undertakings under the Ministry of Power. Members of the Hindi Advisory Committee and several other dignitaries were also present. On this occasion, R K Vishnoi, Chairman and Managing Director, extended his heartfelt congratulations to all officers and employees of THDC India Limited and remarked that the key to success in any field lies in dedicated and continuous efforts. He reiterated that while THDC India Limited is accelerating its business operations, it remains equally committed to fulfilling its constitutional and statutory obligations. Speaking about the award, Shallinder Singh, Director (Personnel), informed that THDC India Limited was bestowed with this honour for outstanding performance in the implementation of the Official Language Policy during the year 2023–24. Among all the entries received from institutions under the Ministry of Power, THDC India Limited secured the highest score to earn this recognition. It is noteworthy that for the same period, on September 14, 2024, THDC India Limited was also conferred with the First Rajbhasha Kirti Award in the category of Public Sector Undertakings by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, which was presented by Union Home Minister, Amit Shah. Furthermore, for the same period, THDC India Limited was awarded the First Prize of the NARAKAS Rajbhasha Vaijayanti Award during the meeting of the Town Official Language Implementation Committee, Haridwar, held on January 29, 2025. During the meeting, the house journals of offices and undertakings under the Ministry of Power were also released. On this occasion, the 35th edition of THDC’s official language magazine ‘Pahal’ was also unveiled.
