THDCIL celebrates Foundation Day with commitment to nation building (UPDATED)

Rishikesh: THDC India Limited, a leading power sector PSU, celebrated its 38th Foundation Day with great fervour at its Corporate Office in Rishikesh and across all Projects and Unit offices. The occasion marked not just another year in the organization's illustrious journey since its inception in 1988, but also a year of landmark achievements that significantly expanded THDCIL’s energy portfolio and reinforced its commitment to sustainability, reaffirming its pivotal role in powering India’s future.

The Foundation Day celebrations commenced with the flag hoisting by R K Vishnoi, CMD, followed by the lamp lighting by Vishnoi, along with Shallinder Singh, Director (Personnel); Bhupender Gupta, Director (Technical); and Sipan Kumar Garg, Director (Finance), at the Rasamanjari Hall, THDCIL.

In his address, Vishnoi highlighted THDCIL’s 38-year journey, celebrating major milestones like India’s first Variable Speed PSP at Tehri and the 660 MW Khurja Thermal Plant. He reaffirmed THDCIL’s vision to lead in clean energy, support Net Zero goals, and contribute to the nation’s energy security and growth.

The esteemed Naman Award was presented to D V Singh, former CMD of THDCIL, honouring his visionary leadership and lifelong dedication to the growth of the organisation. Gaurav Awards were conferred to Neeraj Verma, ED (I/C); A K Ghildiyal, ED (APP); Ajay Verma, CGM (VPHEP); Ajay Kumar Garg, CGM (Finance); and Dr A N Tripathy, CGM (HR-Admin & Corporate Communications). THDC India Limited also recognized outstanding employees across all levels. From the Executive cadre, Ashutosh Kumar Anand (DGM), Samrat Mukherjee, Rakesh Bansal, Mayank Bajpai, Ms. Nayan Raturi (Managers), Balwant Singh and Prakash Kumar Sahu (Deputy Managers) Mayank Chauhan (Assistant Manager), were honoured with the Best Employee Reward. In the Supervisor category, Triveni Singh Ghanata (Junior Executive) and Yogesh Chandra Joshi (Junior Engineer) were awarded. At the Workmen category, Sudarshan Biswal (Sub Officer), Rohitas Singh (Helper), and Deepak Shah (Assistant) were appreciated for their consistent hard work.
