Hindustan Copper Ltd celebrates Independence Day with special children (UPDATED)

The 79th Independence Day was celebrated in all the Units and Offices of HCL with great fanfare. Sanjiv Kumar Singh, Chairman and Managing Director, HCL, hoisted the National Flag in HCL Corporate Office in Kolkata in the presence of Dr Sanjeev Kumar Sinha, Director (Operations), who also holds the additional charge of Director (Mining), RVN Vishweshwar, Director (Finance) and Harsimran Singh, Chief Vigilance Officer and other senior officers with the rendition of the National Anthem. Special children from Alakendu Bodh Niketan Residential, Kolkata, recited poems and sang patriotic songs in the cultural programme of HCL Corporate Office in Kolkata. They were gifted an all-season mango sapling (which will bear fruits multiple times in a year) along with T-shirts, bags, etc. Scholarships were given away to the meritorious children of the Copper Family. Uniforms are to be distributed among the contractual drivers and support staff of HCL Corporate Office. To mark the milestone of the 59th anniversary of HCL’s Foundation Day, it has been decided to introduce a “Corporate Flag” as well as a “Corporate Song” to generate brand awareness, enhance employee morale and create a sense of unity among employees and stakeholders. Accordingly, corporate flag designs and verses for Corporate Song were invited from HCL employees and their family members. Contributors of the creative design suggestions and lyrics were felicitated on the Independence Day at HCL.
