Jain is now Chairman Arunanchal Pradesh Administrative Reforms Commission (UPDATED)

Pramod Kumar Jain, IAS retd (J&K cadre, 1985 batch) has been appointed as Chairman of the Arunanchal Pradesh Administrative Reforms Commission (ARC), the north eastern State’s first such Panel, and shows the will of the present CM, Mr Pema Khandu to fast track governance and delivery of public services in this hilly State.

Post-retirement,  Jain earlier worked  as Chairman of the J&K Water Resources Regulatory Authority. Till recently, he was Chairman of the high-powered New Districts Committee for Ladakh UT, and advised the Ladakh Administration on operationalisation  of five new Districts namely, Sham, Nubra, Zanskar, Changthang and Drass. This Report  is under active consideration in the Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt of India, adds our correspondent.
