First batch of indigenously produced CSR 338 sniper rifles, developed

The first batch of indigenously produced CSR 338 sniper rifles, developed under a UAE-India joint venture by Caracal International and SSS Defence, was cleared for delivery to the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) by Q4 2025. Production at the Icomm Caracal Small Arms Complex in Hyderabad (inaugurated April 2025) marks a step toward exporting small arms, with potential Army integration for border units. This aligns with the “Aatmanirbhar Bharat” initiative, targeting 500 units initially.
